CNN are this minute reporting that passengers are still trapped on their planes as there is a suspect device at the airport which cannot be defused at the moment. One of the terrorists has died. Airport is obviously closed until further notice.

Edit. TV now reporting that John Lennon airport has been closed for security reasons, no particular threat or incident.

It’s such terrible news, looks like one didnt get so lucky but that’s great. Kevin you are right, about ruining our fun. It’s not gonna be so easy at GLA anymore. 😡

Great set of shots Rab, Liking the the VC-10 shot, very detailed and the rest of the 747’s. What a great day, probably the best i’ve had at PIK. Sadly won’t make the Virgin tomorrow, working all weekend !:(

Great seeing the An 225 again, even if it was only a few days ago! Couldn’t find it arriving or departing on Flight Tracker, did it come from Houston and where did it go?

The AN225 took off from Memphis and made a tech-stop somewhere else in the state’s. It’s off to Ukraine from PIK seemingly with parts for the TU-204 aircraft.

Yep you are right, was not paying much attention much at the time. Too many 747’s. :p It’s the engines that catch me out I think 😉

A few more, and for Manston a Tristar 😉 The Tristar was coming in on the ILS and suddenly took off again..
