What about inviting the co-operation of one or two friendly countries, lets say Ukraine or Romania, for further development of a light trainer/light attack aircraft to replace Utva 75s and G4 Galebs?

Serbia itself doesn’t have a need for more than 40-50 of such aircraft so lone development & production would not be profitable but with 150-200 orders, it would be a completely different story.

I believe both the air forces of Montenegro and Serb Republic will be transferred to Serbia. About 70-80 aircraft in total. Mostly Gazellas, Galeb G-4s and J-22’s. Some Mi-8 as well.

What we will do with them…I don’t know.

I personally would love to see Montenegro maintain some fixed-wing aircraft, at least for pilot training for some better times that surely lie ahead.

Maybe a small squadron of Yak-130’s (6-10 aircraft)

ROmania & Serbia should reinitiate co-operation and build another light fighter jet…for our pilot training needs.

I chatted to a friend of mine today and he told me that a few days ago an An-26 took off from Batajnica (he lives near the base) and flew north. Now, he couldn’t say if it was a Serbian AF one as it was silouetted against a bright sky and he couldn’t make out the markings… I’m hoping that it could be a significant sighting… But who knows.

I believe it simply flew to the airshow in Constanta, Romania….in support of other Serbian Air Force aircraft performing there.

I don’t think it will ever happen.
Serbia will be the first export customer of the French-made Rafale.

300.000 Russians died fighting with the Ottoman empire on behalf of Bulgaria (the country wouldn’t exist today if it wasn’t for Russia & Serbia) … its sad to here there’s anything like “anti-Russian” attitude in this country.

Oh, and Serbia being the main threat…lol. But I guess its true.

How did they get “rid” of it? Returned them to Ukraine, scraped them or stored them?

SO there is no navy? Not even a river/lake based one? What do they have in Danube?

Anyways, what IF Austria-Hungary never messed with Serbia in 1914?
Would the situation be different today?

Bosnia, turn to some Emirates or Saudi Arabia?
Its a majority Christian country today and the first country they will turn to is obviously Serbia & Croatia, followed by Ukraine & Russia.
