it is just the full scale engineering mock-up…

Full scale engineering mock up is called model.

Prototype is something that will work which means it will fly.

I think the new 200tons Chinese military transport plane really prove that Chinese CCP cannot be blackmail. Previous agreement due regarding 38 IL-76 with Russia will all void. 😎

Oh on antoher note it does rather look like a turbofan Antonov AN70 or is that just me?

Chinese propose 200tons military transport plane

U all be the judgement. Looks like a more refinement of An-70. The Chinese one seems like having a more bigger fuselage due to the bigger 200tons requirement.

I know that D30KP turbofan is in PLAAF service but I do find it a rather bemusing interim choice considering there are better engines available like the PS90 or CFM56.

Didn’t it mention WS-10 will be use in future..

Trying to target a particular market. Like I said, FC-1 itself costs 15-20 Million USD. Its not going enter the PLA forces. Even the FC-1 now doesn’t seem to be having a place in the PLA forces.

Maybe FC-1 and CY-1 situation is same as JJ-9 and L-15.

L-15 suppose to be superior in terms of everything from FBW, LERX and a turbo fan engine but a more expensive price tag. Instead PLAAF opt for JJ-9 for it full domestic and cheaper price tag compare to L-15.

Shall CY-1 able to go under 15-20 million USD. It might favour PLAAF to adopt it since engine will not be a problem becos of WP-14/WP13.

LFC-16/CY-1 makes it maiden flight. This plane uses some interesting flight control.

Is that the same Uncle Sam who is selling weapons to Taiwan?.

Yes but how does it related to the original question of double standard show by u?

I remember in 2005 Hu Jintao strutting across Europe, with sections of the Chinese press gloating that European member states would swiftly lift the arms embargo due to the money in trade deals that would be thrown around. I think that the UK saw over a $1 billion worth of contracts signed. Did it get the embargo lifted? No. That caused China a big loss of face.

If we did what China wanted to avoid its “displeasure”, we’d have scrambled to have the embargo formally lifted. That we didn’t shows China doesn’t automatically win any dispute it is involved with, whether it gets angry or not.

Again, I don’t know how does it related to the original question? But US threaten EU that if they lifted the embargo, it will face serious consequence of loss of critical military share technology. Especially, BAE with huge associate with US can’t afford that. In fact, EU is happy with lifting embargo on China with France taking the lead. Without George W.Bush visiting Europe and threatening , the embargo will have long lifted.

I like the way, u twist the fact to whatever u like. Just to suit yr sourgrapes of China gaining status and making stride every year. πŸ˜‰

Not at all. Of course China might be able to influence decisions, but the problem we’ve had here is that one sulky know-it-all thinks that China automatically gets its way in a situation like this and that everyone runs scared at the very thought of offending China.

Tell that to Uncle Sam!

Oh ya.. U from UK? Aren’t UK in past always do that? πŸ˜‰

Maybe you’re mistaking the UAE for France? :p
    :

Exactly. UAE will act just like France. World fifth largest economy bow to China pressure. What can UAE do which not even rank within 10th largest world econ?

Not at all. The USA isn’t a major oil exporting member of OPEC. 😎

When did China needs USA oils? Ok, I admit besides USA who dare to export military hardware to Taiwan?
