He is not biased you see, as he clearly left F-16 in the title:diablo:

So it really suggest as the title and it just someone poor reading… :diablo:

But why sounds so surprise? If in terms of dogfight ,J-10 with a 4.5 generation aerodynamic vs a 4th generation aerodynamic(F-16/Mig-29) definitely has the edge!

] Chinese military said “no” to local engine makers and “no” to local makers of some key systems, instead buying these critical items directly from Russia.

This is dumb, IMO. PLAAF needs domestic engines and parts, to achieve self-reliant maintenance as good as the JASDF F-2 and ROCAF F-CK-1.

PLAAF and PLAN already have too many attacker and fighter types, some of which are obsolescent and IMO only fit for Kamikaze sorties against the 7th Fleet, similar to the IAF drones vs Syrian SAM sites in the 1982 Operation Peace for Galilee.

] and files this sobering report about the new J-10 fighter.

Although I think the J-10 doesn’t exist, that the J-10 photos are Photoshopped, and the J-10 vids are 3D CG rendered in Hollywood, by or for the China Threat conspiracy theorists; the J-10 topic is untrendy. The next myth to disprove, is the so-called WZ-10. XD

“These aren’t the droids we’re looking for… You can go about your business.”

Pls forgive him.. Cos he is russian πŸ˜‰

What I believe from him is what he witness.. As for the bs of no to local engines and key system is just his own assumption. He’s just a aviation journalist. What he knows? LOL..

Blog contributor Vladimir Karnozov, a Moscow-based aerospace journalist, visited the Zhuhai air show this week, and files this sobering report about the new J-10 fighter.

ZHUHAI — There is an old anecdote. The optimists around the world learn English. The pessimists, Chinese. But down-to-earth study the Kalashnikov assault rifle.

I think it is time for the down-to-earth crowd to study their rifles using Chinese manuals!

Two years ago every important source told me, let’s wait two years and see what comes of China’s new J-10 fighter.

Now everyone I trust says the Chinese pulled it off, and the J-10 has proven a tremendously successful program.

I watched how the J-10 flew over Zhuhai, in 30 degree Celsius temperatures and high humidity.

The pilot did none of the show tricks like post-stall or tail slide or pitch-back, but turns were very tight, initial rate of turn very high. It was clear there is a lot of potential in this airplane to achieve the same maneuvers more quickly.

The pilot rarely used afterburner and the degrees of canard deflection were small. Still, the airplane flew very well. I reckon it will beat F-16C or MiG-29/SMT easily.

Chinese have already completed over 100 J-10s and they have bought more Russian engines for next series.

I do not think they would buy more Flankers since the J-10 is as good as the Flanker, to say the least.

Chinese military said “no” to local engine makers and “no” to local makers of some key systems, instead buying these critical items directly from Russia.

As for AWACS support, it is present with 4 A-50 equipped with KJ-2000 radars and it seems the Chinese have bought a special version of the Ka-31, although very much different from the Indian navy version. Apparently with a new radar.

If proper tactics are used, the PLAAF can beat Taiwanese opponents in conventional air war. Unless the US makes it into a full scale world-for-world battle, the central committee of the Chinese Communist Party does have a chance.

I think GNR live concert is most electrifying to watch. Axl Rose never hold back his voice(even at the risk of damaging his vocal) and always give his best shot for any concert. His stage running capture yr attention. So as his hot pants! Haha..

Of cos I am talking abt the late 80’s and early 90’s GNR πŸ˜€

Well… There is no ‘better’ because it’s all personal. I could say I prefer one over the other and explain the reasons why I think that, but it means absolutely nothing because the next guy may disagree totally. If you prefer GNR, great. If you prefer Bon Jovi, great. It doesn’t really matter!

    Paul – Cynical musician-type person.

Come on.. Just choose one out of the two! It’s not that tough, right? πŸ˜€

Ok, congratulations for the achievement. Now, please, would it be possible to stop waving flags? This is no place for propaganda.
    Thanks.

    (what’s wrong with flag waving???)

China will go to moon to pluck out the US flag.. This will give them a excuse to launch the 2nd mission to replant the flag.. πŸ˜€

It’ll be interesting to see if this thing can get into hardware really, really fast. If so, it could be a serious threat to the JSF program internationally as it won’t be a design constrained by either US requirements, US export restrictions, or having to have a VTOL variant. I wonder if BAE had anything to do with this…

HOw abt the engines? SAAB has no experience in advance turbofan. Their gripen engines depend on US.

Now Sukhoi’s President Pogosyan has put the final nail on the coffin of the so called β€œChinese has made pirated Su27” saying.

In an exclusive interview with Phoenix TV, Pogosyan confirmed Sukhoi has already sold the IP rights of Su27 to China in 1996. :rolleyes:So there’s never any violation of so called China illegally copied Su27, and he said J11B is NOT a copy of Su27SK.

The below is the video of interview with Sukhoi CEO Pogosyan. Those who understand Russian, please note his speak starting from 1’33”

    http://itv.ifeng.com/vplay.aspx?id=14f834c3-4f16-4771-9248-bf36426a9003

So all the previous claim of China pirated Su-27 is bull****…

Why can’t other people accept Chinese people do things in a rational way?

First they claim China is exporting a plane call FC-1 which the engine will never be allowed to re-export. Then they got a slap in their face when Putin ink the re-export permit..

Now got people claim China J-11B is pirated and producing them in serial number will halt soon after being sue. Now CEO of sukhoi come out and told the whole world China is eligible to produce J-11B.

The next one who come out and trying to accuse China again better think twice. If China say something, u better believe it. Cos the way they do things is much sensible and logical than what other can think of.

If they claim J-10 is now using WS-10A and WS-10A already enter serial production, u better swallow and digest that news but never doubt it. Cos its real. :diablo:
