I think the PRC military is more and more comfident of itself in area of precision strike and we start to see more and more photo of JADM and laser pod destinator on military jet….

the only way FC-1 can compete by offerring significanly lower price just to make numbers. MIG-29 upgraded is more in league of F-15C interms of TWR, range, radar, BVR, newer IRST etc.

Mig-29 in the league of F-15C? But Cairo r intend to replace MIg-21…

I believe eventually FC-1 will still be bought but lesser number as previously intended!

I seriously doubt MIg-29 will fulfil the mount of aircraft required by Cairo. FC-1 will still have a chance to serve Egypt AF!

    I just pointed the difference.

3 stages are better if other data compared.

Not to worry! Just asking to increase my aviation knowledge 🙂

    AL-31FN’s fan has 4 stages.

SO? Which is better? 3 stages or 4 stages?

Really cute. Other countries need years to put up a GPS satellite system, China just announces that in a couple of month they will have their own. Really cute …

Hopefully u don turn from cute to horror! :diablo:

I think this is one of the reason why PRC JADM like LS-6 and Self propel Gun like PL-45 has enter service since their guidance r heavily rely on GPS. Soon they will not restricted by US satelite and can even use by PRC friendlies countries in wartime!

But the a J-8F as recognised by the twin wing-fences and the black radome !
I agree with You that it looks more like a genuine picture than a PS !

I don’t think that these are R-73/AA-11 … for me they look like PL-8s without their fins just the same as dummy R-73s.

    Deino

Why must the fin for PL-8 be removed for dummies?

So all the saga abt engine problem ends… We shall be able to see JF-17 flying in Pakistan ensign in march next year and a whole lot more other FC-1 waiting to be order by other countries! Disappointing FC-1 did not make an appearance on Zuhai 2006!

It seems that Russia has view China as an important economic but also strategic partner. Of cos,u don want to offend a powerful neighbour who is only beside yr doorstep. 😀

The J11B is already in service, see the last portion of the video, the 2 flankers in PLAAF camouflage taking off are J11B, I screen captured one of the 2 J11Bs, see the black nose this time no mistake., that one with no Russian radar. I had said somewhere before, At the beginning of 2007, we will see 1st J11B regiment.

Hmmm… J-11B induction looks very fast. I think we will see fully domestic J-10 with WS-10A soon too! But most importantly is to wait for a photo of J-11B loaded with PRC missiles like PL-9C or PL-12 to have a more comfirmation of truely J-11B.

Good video. For a plane completely in primer, the surface seems very smooth. Even the J-10 wasn’t like that. I just wonder how much composite are they using on the surfaces.

I did mention long ago that J-11B is likely to have a black radome. The clue is obvious because the Y-8 testbed that was testing the J-11B radar had a black nose with static strips.

Seems like every new jet coming out with a NRIET KLJ radar has a black radome with static strips—FC-1, J-10, and J-8H/F. Note the JH-7A hasn’t done so and the day you see that happens is when the radar is changed to. Don’t ask me why the radome has to be changed with the KLJ radar, there maybe various reasons for it including a new frequency selective material. It just so happens.

I have a distinct impression that the nozzles blades on the WS-10A seems shorter and less in number, while the AL-31F nozzles look more “feathery”.

What is the estimate time for the J-11B testbed to be completed plus the induction period?
