Biiger and clearler pic of FC-1 04 flying on the 10th of May
From Pakistani television. It seems that the 04 prototype is now painted a silver or whitish blue color. Picture of the PAF Air Marshal.
I think the paint scheme looks not as gd as the previous protoype 1-3… But still good to see FC-1 04 flying again. After the May day break period,I think FC-1 04 Flight test will go full swing and we hope to see FC-1 04 carry out AOA and AOG test soon!
Get ready for pictures of FC-1 Prototype 04 coming up in the next two days!
In the meantime,r we going to see FC-1 04 going to do some rolling and flying in the sky of chengdu before 10th of May arrives for VIP to inspect? Some testing must be carry out before the VIP comes ,right? 😀
Thats a wet dream estimate. Firstly Albania will not get it, as it wants to join NATO. Vietnam is unlikely to go for Chinese jets, and the Philippines as well. North Korea can’t afford and China won’t give it for free.
Venezuala have hinted they will be seeking possibly the Su-27SM or Su-30MK (maybe Su-35 too). Burma has recently ordered MiG-29s, so this bankrupted regime will find it hard to get more funds to buy FC-1s.
Albania is quite broke and they also need certain number of fighter to fulfil the mission. Europe and US fighter prove too expensive to fill Albania AF requirement. If FC-1 prove really at a cost of 15million USD each, will be very tempting for Albania to procure.
Vietnam is also in a stage of upgrading its AF,a twin engine fighter like Mig-29 and SU-30 might prove too expensive for Vietnam to afford in quantity numbers. Going for FC-1 is a smart solution to allow Vietnam to overhaul and upgrade its AF. With US as China arch enemy,China will not hesitate to court Vietnam and a conflict in few decades is very unlikely..
Burma possess plenty of natural resources from gem to fossil fuel,China is willing to trade their fighter for any barter trade deal. I don’t see a probelm for Burma to buy 30-40 FC-1 at a price of 15million USD each!
Thailand is also in the process of overhauling its AF of F-5E,F-16A. Going for US stuff prove too expensive and they can only afford small quantities but not enough to fulfil their requirement. J-10 remains mysterious, althought with recent news of J-10 being sold to Pakistan. J-10 export remains uncertain. While FC-1 is specially build for export order!
Philippines is also badly need to overhaul its AF and they have a very low budget. Barter trade for fighter from China is a good way for Philippine AF to survive. Like Vietnam situation,China is trying to unite all Asia countries against US. Territories dispute with these countries is very unlikely except Japan.
FC-1 is the fighter and solution for countries without a big budget and yet in a critical stage to replace many of its 2nd genration aircraft in certain quantities.. Europe/Ruussia and US fighter prove too expensive to operate
A estimated potential export number of FC-1 to many conuntries… :diablo:
Pakistan-150
Mynamar-40/60
Bangladesh-12
Zimbawe-30
Sudan-80
Venezuela-100
Albania-40
Libya-150
Nigeria-80
Eygpt-120
Iran-150
North Korea-40(free from PRC)
Vietnam-70
Sri Lanka-30
Indonesia-40/60
Philippines-40
Thailand-50
Total sales:1222 (A very ambition estimate at estimate price of 15million USD each) but If hit 800 export order already consider very good 😀
FC-1 04 flys this morning, reported by Chinese official news web site(http://www.chinanews.com.cn/news/2006/2006-04-28/8/723986.shtml)
It flys!!!! Long Live China
It going to be the first operational fighter plane incorporate with DSI :diablo: A technology advance in aviation of China
because China want to use the L-15-derivate from the Yak-130 as an supersonic trainer instead of the subsonic focus of the other two. That’s why the L-15 uses engines with afterburner. These two circumstances (supersonic an engines with afterburner ) are the reasons for the different backsides …
So a it is not a pure copy…
“Yakovlev working as consultants?” Seems like Yakovlev just present the YAK130 blueprints to the Chinese and said “Here you go, mate. Btw, just make sure you don’t named it either the L-346 or L-130. 谢谢 “.
No wonder! When I 1st saw the L-15, I told myself “That’s the BEST LOOKING Trainer to come out of China!”
Now something wicked just cross my mind – wouldn’t it be interesting IF one day, the 3 jets were to be participate in a same race to supply trainers to a ‘someone’ :diablo:
If that is the case, why the backside of the aircraft different?? U can see it from the pic is 2 differnt case..
