Notice the design of the PL-12’s rear fins. Its meant to give the PL-12 exceptional agility.

The PL-12 is a high priority missile. Taiwan is armed with AIM-120Cs.

The Russian R-77 is no match for the American AMRAAM. China needs the PL-12.

China also wants to integrate the PL-12 with its Flankers. The R-77 is not good enough.

One conclusion! PL-11(I still strongly believe it is a ARH missile) shall be compare to Taiwan ‘SkySword II’ ARH missile. PL-12 is compared to AIM-120C.The seeker use on PL-12 is definitely not AMR-1 seeker but a type evolve from it and be far more advance.AMR-1 seeker is believe to use on PL-11 and make it as a cheap active BVRAAM and for export market.While PL-12 will be offer only to close allied like Pakistan for their FC-1.

But in the end the mystery never solved! But there is comfirm report China bought a MAZ TEL chasis from Belarus.Definitely that mysterious TEL we saw is not MAZ claim by previous post! It is reported China will base on the import TEL from Belarus and RE and make one suit for them!
