    I agree.

The pilot, Sergei Bogdan, was making increasingly tight curved approaches and straightening up at the last moment.

On the occasion in question (I wasn’t there on that day) – I suspect he overcooked it.

But hey, I’m just an onlooker…..

There are photos around taken from the starboard (inside of the curve) which shows the incident better.

    ‘ere ya go…… http://www.aviationlive.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5205&sid=34f2fe5b7cdaa969c67d1901fa20a500

    Here’s the video of it…..

    Ken

Wow, just checked the pics and the video, AWESOME;)

I hate to screw up the “NEWS SECTION”, but what in the hell is that C-27J doing upsidedown, and does anyone have a vid?

BTW, Tango, thanks for the great work, I check once a day just to see what you have posted, you do all of us a GREAT service…..again, thanks 🙂

    What it does upside down?:)
It does this @ airshow demos, it is awesome, doing all sorts of rolls and aerobatics….. I am not sure if i have taken video but i have few photos of doing these sorts of things, @ Avalon Airshow;)

just another update, it would seem at least 2 deaths so far… more likely:(
    Lets hope not too many…

well, still not a lot of details, but at least this suggests that at least the pilot is safe, so some good news.
Hopefully there’s not any (or at least many) casualties on the ground.
It suggests the jet was quite before it crashed… no engines running

I’m sorry, but what is it – pointy???

    Hi,

Well, I meant they narrow down too much – to almost nothing, too sharp, I think they’ll be more (or should be) broader, a bit more like F-35, F-22, or SU-27/30, MIG-29 etc etc, depends on the design – very narrow or pointy wingtips can give an aircraft some very unpleasant and nasty handling characteristics. Of course i could be mistaken, but unlikely – i honestly believe the final design will have wingtips that are broader, not as sharp (pointy)

    Cheers:)

P.S. I hope you don’t mind, i just quickly edited your sketch in Paint, just to show what i think they should be like, of course, the Ailerons and slats, can finish a bit more in-board, (i didn’t touch them).
    Keep up the good work.
    regards,

That is my last version of speculation:

    🙂
Somehow i think the wing tips seem pointy, otherwise it looks ok;)

taking bets on whether or not the PAK-FA will be at MAKS. I’m thinking of going to Moscow in August for MAKS but it would be a real waste to go there to see the same old Flankers. Also, who else here is planning on being there or at least thinking about it?

Hi, I was there last year and loved it, i’m looking forward to go to next one, @ this stage not exactly 100% sure but the intention is to go, so may see you there:)

    all the best;)

Here we go again…………….take two F-16 Vipers. With the first one being a clean Blk 5. Now let’s take the second a Blk 60. Yet, the kicker is the latter has to carry 4-6 External Missiles………..Now are you going to tell me the latter will be a better and more agile opponent. With superior turn rates and acelerations. Please, this agrument is getting old.:p

I’m sorry if i’m not contributing more positively into the thread (as yet), but i can’t help it but laugh…. DEJA VU!, you guys starting all over again getting sucked in responding to everything star49 has to say…. ooops sorry no offence but don’t tell me you didn’t suspect, i’m not coming here anywhere near as often as most but i knew it – from the same arguments as many times before.

    Hi Angleremington,
    Thanks for your comments.
Why not open a new “chaff & flares” thread and post your pictures there? I will be very interested to see them, and so will others.

Yes, it seems like a good idea, i’ll do that when i go home, i’m @ work now:)
Also done the same for the P-3C Orion.

    Cheers

    Hi guys,

Jetman, well done mate, top job!

I did not install, but i did do all the CAD-CAM work, program and machine the chaff and flares dispensers frames for our C-130 Herculesses here in Australia:)

So if you have seen pics from Aussie C-130’s shooting flares – well you know who made them – all the machined parts.

I have pictures that i took from the Avalon Airshow with the upgrade in question, i could post them here, but i do not want to spoil your tread – since is a MIG photos thread:)

Keep up the good work mate – top job!
