    If i remember right you only see static shots of the C47 at the start of the film so could well have been a mock up

    What camera are you using mate, keen to get into aviation photography myself. Im starting a new job at Birmingham International and hope to get some good pics once ive decided on which camera ?

    Thought id throw my oar in aswell.

    I think its obvious that with the right mix of models/cg and use of available aircraft its possible to create a convincing lancaster force on screen, which i would love to see.

    And it all comes down to the passion of the director/producer (and a big pot of money) to make it all fit together right.

    I was blown away by the opening scenes in Saving Private Ryan, I also loved the Heinkell scenes in pearl harbour and the D.Day parachute drops in Band of Brothers.

    Wouldnt have to be about the Dambusters, something about bomber command will do. if they can put a film together that shows numerous lancs thundering around and portray how terrifying an ordeal it was to fly a mission to berlin like Saving.P.R did with the D.day landings i will be happy

    So what became of the spanish casa fleet. Were they all scrapped in the end or have any made their ways to a museum ?

    Ive seen a mock He111 nose that was used for close ups at East Kirkby. Does you know the story with the Heinkel or whatever it is at Duxord, whats its future and history?
