I can think of a nice length of Typhoon fuselage in Holland that would look terrific with that cockpit !

I don’t think they have any objection if that cockpit is going to Holland to be displayed together with the fuselage in their museum. I think it is a very nice gesture you made.

What is your problem? I said nothing that is not true. Novbody is interested in that wreck. It belongs, like everything below 50 cm of the soil, to the Dutch state. You are no party for them. Like the B29 in Lake Mead, it is where it is, and remain there.

So end of discussion for me. And if you want to read the article, do a search in Piloot & Vliegtuig, 2001, the one with on the cover an Iberia 747 nose and an Iberia Fokker 50 on it.

Hoping for a 111 in Rotterdam is rather fruitless. For many reasons it is not going to happen.

Here she was at DX on 25th November. Depends what one calls decent ??

    V2

Thanks. Was hoping it was in one piece. I have it at the IWM, erected but with people, so its current situation is not a more decent one for me. which means I do not have to rush to Duxford to photograph it.

Is the V2 also at Duxford now, and if so, can it be photographed in a decent way?

The aircraft is in a no diving zone, and 30 to 60 meters deep. Most probably burried under many meters of sand. I wrote an article on it, in 2001. it floated for a considerable time, so it was more or less in 1 part after the ditch. Some crew parachuted from it, but others stayed onboard. Chances of raising it, or even dive to it are nil.

Today pixels have nothing to do with quality anymore. An 8 MP camera with large sensors and can deliver superior pics than a 19 mp with small pixels on a small sensor.

Shouldn’t go for a 1Dmk2, but for a 1Dmk2N. Just sold mine, and replaced it with a 1Dmk4. I binned my 18 mp 7D, which was a noisebox and was unable to get sharp action shots. Had to reduce the image to 50%, and with added unsharp mask, the results were inferior than with the ‘old’ 1Dmk2N

A 1D has much superior AF than anything else Canon has to offer. But don’t go for a worn out prof example.

It was found near the coast of North East Spain, in the Med
just over the French Spanish border.

Pics are 3 weeks old, they are in B/W because they came out better that way.

K Class airships, thanks for the info. I am not so familiar with airships, so that is why I asked.

Another big question is where is the Condor going to live when it’s completed, not much room for it up there

There will be an annex at Tempelhof, some larger aircraft as the IL-14 are already there, although not on PV.

Hey, I am sure these guys in the Horsemen are really impressed with your positive attitude to European Aid displays – just curious what will you be bringing to the show by the way?

Nothing else but my money for a ticket.

Anyway, either if they come with or without their USA based Mustangs, I am not that enthousiastic, sorry.
