Hi Dennis, I was there in early September. The machine is a partly reconstruction, as the nose, undercart and the tailsection comes from an original DO-335. During my visit it looked more or less the same as in your pic. BW Roger

Best way to ge there is on the first sunday of the month when they perform an airshow. It is a 2 hour walk from the C.Vientos museum ( I did that the first time ), but now I take a taxi from downtown mMadrid to the “Aero Club””, an historic building with a small tower on top. The static is before this building. Later. around 12.30 they start flying. BW Roger

It’s the same at Barcelona, where they have a small museum/exhibition behind security, and even worse, in the corridor between 2 terminals. So even when you are within the “zone”, your chanches of missing it are very big. BW Roger

And for Madrid, departure is very early, so you won’t be sleeping the night of Thursday to Friday but at least the hotel is in a much more silent part of the city, only wonder why there is such an amount of red lights in the street there.
