    Just received an email from a (normally very well informed) friend that the Breitling Connie will show up at the Volkel airshow in Holland next month. That shgould be nice. When the Dutch Connie is flyable then, we might see two Connies in the air sooner as expected. Can anybody confirm that the Swiss are coming to Volkel? BW Roger

    Just back from Basel where I shot the arrival of the Connie. First shot shows it only meters from its new base. BW Roger

    Well, it is only a 3 hrs drive from home, and I have been chasing that Vormazeele machine for over a decade now, never have seen it, so it it comes to WAW, I’ll be there (together with at least 5 others with “Spanish “Me” fever” 😀 . Do you know where it is based? BW Roger

    PS; My Spanish flying club bought an Argentine Stieglitz. It’s in flying condition, but paperwork has kept it grounded so far. Hope to see it in Madrid next month

    Guess what, my program is Basle, then ILA, then La ferte, then Madrid, then a weekend off, and then Volkel and Amsterdam (Amsterdam for the DO24). Have to go the Wings and Wheels also due to the fact that the Bouchon is going there. BW Roger

    Well, I go to Basle this saturday. Hope to catch it there. Should be nice to see the Aviodrome Connie and the Swiss Connie perform in formation someday. BW Roger

    Yes, I am going tp the arrivall at Basle/Mulhouse/Freiburgh. I’ll post some pics when i am back, which is late sunday, as I also go to Speyer and Sinsheimm. Anybody going to the ILA in Berlin?

    I think a group of (mostly) retired volunteers are working on it. I saw pics of restored wingparts recently in a German mag. But as I said, don’t expect anything before 2010 or so.Parts of it were on show on the last 2 ILA’s in Berlin. I’ll have a look in 3 weeks time when I go to Berlin/ILA again. BW Roger

    It was raised, and is now undergoing restauration in Germany. It can take maybe 10 years or so, but it will be brought back to former glory. BW Roger
