So far 9 confirmed death, and 50 wounded (some in very bad condition), BW Roger
That is not what is seen on Dutch TV, as so far around 5 sheet covered bodies were brought out of the tail section (according to Dutch TV). BW Roger
It is in severall pieces, and lying in a field. No fire, and the chunks look more or less “intact”. No reports on the passengers. BW Roger
Yeah, I remember seeing some wreckage in a Dutch museum, but the pics I took were almost black, have deleted them a long time ago. I also saw his schirmmutze with a Dutch collecter. Tried to buy it, but the best deal I could get was that he contact me when he wants to get rid of it.
[QUOTE=Cees Broere;1348195]Soon in FlyPast if EHVB does his homework (I did that for him come to think of it:diablo::D)
Nou nou nou!
That fuselage in the museum is from another machine. The fuselage part was in use in the DDR as a garage. Has nothing to do with the Condor from the flord. BW Roger
The Mosquito ones yesterday were removed from the site, and will be exploded by the Navy in the Northsea. They were rather big.BW Roger
They were totaly smashed in the inpact. Not much remained. Must be somewhere in here. BW Roger
The dig for the machine is over in a few hours. A lot of debris were found, all but the wooden parts (and they aren’t even that bad) , very well preserved. BW Roger
In a few hours time, around 06.00hrs lt, half of the village will be evacuated. Then, between 11.00 and 16.00 the 2 bombs will be made safe. Hope to have pics around this time on Sunday. In the dig, lots of amunition was found, aswell as the 2 500 pounders, one at a depth of 1 1/2 meters, the other at 2.5 meters at a distance of the houses of 10 meters (I was told).

Hi Cees, check your mail, new pics. Heard the news that in a town close to mine, starting with Oeg, they are going to raise the one on which that nieuwbouwwijk was constructed. They are expecting some fishes there.
BW Roger
This afternoon, I was at the site. The Dutch Airforce has already found a lot of wreckparts. Much more as was expected. So far, they have digged up to 2 mtrs. In the coming weeks, more is expected to be found.
BW Roger
We are going there in a few months, on a short trip from Holland. Isn’t there also another museum with a replica B24 inside (in Krakow?) in Poland?
BW Roger
Monday, a start was made to salvage the Mosquito. Today they found the first 500 punder, intact at a depth of 1.5 meters / 5 ft. So we were right. There were explosives. The search continius for the 2nd one. BW Roger
Thanks Joe,
I am going to contact you as soon as possible. My mother died, and I have a lot to do and organise, while I feel misserable.
