The “no photography ” lines are now removed from their website. So either it is allowed now, or still forbidden and told after arriving/paying on site. BW Roger

It was an MD-83 from Atlasjet Airliner. All onboard (56 are mentioned) lost their live. ( I read this from a Dutch press agency text)

Well, all the publicity and our actions has backired into the council hall members, as it now has decided that the wreck is dangerous and shall be salvaged (most probably) next year BW Roger

When I look at the very light blue uniforms of the crewmembers it looks as if the Halifax is manned by a crew wearing the ultra light blue uniforms of today’s Chinese Airforce:diablo:

not so much don’t like, more that they seemed to be incorrect, RN not French Navy as per the details above. No matter now, have made room for the RNZAF version now.

Is there a HB French Navy Avenger then? Didn’t know, not that I mind, I am going to buy them all I think (yes, I like Avengers). BW Roger

2 RN Avengers were used during the Suez crises. The HB one was one of them. They were used for CODs duties and although they had a turret, I am almost 100% sure the gun was out of it during the event. BW Roger

Looks like the vandals attcked Soesterberg Museum recently and damaged 6 aircraft which now have to be completely repainted after vandals spray painted them

That’s terrible Peter,when did this happen and which aircraft are involved?

The Harvard was PH-KMA. It was brought back to Holland and went into deep storage. Thought it was sold some time ago though and left.

There is a lot more information on their site. They also have 2 nice movies on the salvage of a 109 and a 190 D. Gonne visit them again in a few weeks time. BW Roger
