Now that we have seen RAF Me-109ns, a FW-190 and now a Stuka, shouldn’t it be nice/about time to release a Luftwaffe KG-200 B17/B24 , or a Luftwaffe Spitfire, P-38 or Mustang? Should like to have those. BW Roger

As long as they look better than the plastic ones ! made I don’t complain. And so far I am more than happy with the ones I bought over the last years. BW Roger

I think it is a great idea, getting 2 for the price of one. Apart from that, it is a nice tribute for the YAM for all the effort they did in “giving” a Halifax back. Now that I think of it, shouldn’t it be a nice idea to have a French Navy 1/72 Lancaster in that great white livery? Maybe the one that now is “Just Jane”.

I have never understood what is so special on the Spitfire, and the same goes to the Vulcan and Lightning (the ugly one, not the P-38), two other types ranking high.

Could well be.When I compare the background, that white and black brick boundery, your photo shows the museum one while it is being put together. BW Roger

No. Viewed from on high it is about size.

The Vulcan looks very small, overall, for a ‘mighty’ aircraft.

It al depends. When I was young, the Airfix B29 dominated my bedroom ceiling. However, when I visited Duxford in the early 80s to view one for real, I found it parked in between a Vulcan and a Victor, reducing the B29 to well, a small aircraft in the shadows. That first impression is still with me as since I never found the B29 that big anymore. So it looks like the Vulcan is now “being reduced”, glad the B29 is in another hangar!
