So just £8 charge return? Not 2x£8? (that might be a bit much)
And Sam, I haven’t actually flown FR beforem, but I feel the same about EZ. Never been uncomfortable on one of their flights, but I flew with TCX to greece this year and was appauled by the lack of leg room. I also always stand by bringing a magazine and iPod and buying food in departures for short haul flights. Who needs IFE and rubbish food?
Nope they charged 3 x £8 total return (for the 3 people) to my credit card (credit card fees), and 3 x 2p for the actual flights. So it came to £8+£8+£8+£0.02+£0.02+£0.02 = £24.06
Still cheap for 3 ppl tho !

Andy
Good news for Newcastle!. I didn’t realise Ryanair had any “based” aircraft ?. We seem to get their whole fleet in at Newcastle, or do they only have a handful of bases (of which Newcastle is not one) ?
Regards,
Andy
Well of the 30 or so flights i’ve had with Ryanair, not one single complaint at all ! – they are a no frills airline, and if you’re only paying 2p for a flight then come on !, what do you expect ?, you cannot really grumble !.
I’ve never had a delay of more than an hour with them, 90% of the time the flights have been within 15 minutes of schedule. So i definitely recommend them 110%.
Andy
3 of us went to Dublin last Tuesday and all we paid was 2p each !!!!! – however, they charge you £8 to use a debit card (per person, even though it was booked on the one card !). Still….it only came to £24.06 in total for 3 people RETURN !!!!
Not bad, eh !
Andy
Well i was once told (by a pilot) that the “dip” in Newcastle’s runway prevented some direct America routes, and certain types of plane. Not sure how true that is ?

Andy
Cheers James, hopefully more to come in the coming months, now i’ve gotten my hands on a decent camera !

Yep seems a logical choice then, think you might be right, would love to see the 777 at Newcastle. I think they use it at Glasgow (UAE26) so you never know !. Nice to see a few other fellow Geordies on here !!

Andy
You may be right about the red/white underbelly paint actually, we only ever get the A332’s in so i’ve never been able to compare it to the B772ER. Incidentally, do you know why they chose an A332 for Newcastle and why there haven’t been any B772’s in ?, is it to do with weights/passenger load/or simply the dip in the runway ?

Andy

Cheers all!, hey yeah i’ve just noticed the lack of the red/white titles on the underside. Never realised till now !

Cheers Rob!, all pics done with a poor little Canon Ixus. Noticed the AAL B763 and just had to stop in the Arrivals queue to get a snap, t’was a nice sight as we don’t get to see AAL very often up at my local airport (Newcastle) !
Best Regards,
Andy
Many thanks for the comment!. Yep it was one of my first shots as a budding-semipro-amateur with my new EOS & wide angle. Quite difficult to fit an A330 in at that height 🙂 !

C-GOAF XLA B738 (Last time at Newcastle)
Just a pretty rubbishy pic (mainly due to weather), of C-GOAF (XL B738), about 4 hours before it’s final departure from Newcastle Airport (Tue 16/9/08), destination Lasham.
