Hi,
I am in a similar position to nashio, but im looking at the uni route in aerospace engineering, however ive opted to do a foundation degree at the moment then i can go from there (as civil engineering is having a growing interest as its not so specific)
Anyways if i pick to do a BEng in aerospace engineering what would my career options be, ideally the course im doing at the moment involves some degree of business so after some industry experience and for instance Bae or RR id like to eventually start up something of my own.
I would also like to do something similar to nashio so i can get a bit more practical skills and having a weekend hobby as well as the private flying side of things.
Any thoughts?
Hi guys,
on a similar note is there some sort of part time apprenticship scheme for people looking at aircraft restoration as a hobby. Things such as sheet metal work, riveting etc etc?
Thanks

Thats not good =[
Thats how they do it, as long as they save the important bits it is far cheaper to buy new bricks than to try and save the existing ones.
Is there anyway they will go through the mess/rubble and salvage some of the bricks etc?
Getting excited allready, good opener to the season 🙂
My main worry is with the BBMF, what will this do to them?
With the MOD cutting costs, will they decided to axe funding for there lanc as theres another one airworthy in the UK? If so why not axe the whole flight?
I see good and bad with this decision, the fact that in X ammount of years we will have another lanc to see flyinh, and thats fantastic news, however is this a bitter-sweet decission?
Only time will tell!
I think aside from the fact we want all historic aircraft flying that there will be more support for JJ rather than 558, purely for the management side of things. Just take hangar 11, shuttleworth, vampire preservation group etc they get alot of respect because its volunteers trying the hardest to do what we all what which is keep these birds flying. And the same goes for JJ, volunteers (excluding the owners who are funding the project) they still make no real profit from it and its purely the love of the a/c. Where as 558 is more a business.
Which is why i feel the project wil take to the skies from that aspect 🙂
Keep donating/supporting
Is it the same as this incident?
It is.
WOuld the mono pod option be okay for moving footage rather than stills?
Only place i can think of for what your after….
WZ507’s seats have been deactivated.
Could be big money in staging a summer airshow down in cornwall too, if the weather doesn’t hamper it….
You’re in for a real treat next week.
10cm this time?
Or maybe even all the way outside for 10 mins 😮
Bob, I think your photo has captured an exhibit that’s only on display during the winter. These are the very barriers that guarded the tradesman’s entrance of the Stork Hotel, Liverpool in 1942. Isn’t it about time that the IWM put up an information board to let visitors know their provenance?
Will they be at legends?
had the CR.42 been moved any more or is it the same position as yesterday?
Damn it, i forgot to take dimensions. Quick guys get the tape measure out!
