right moan time……i am goin to be blunt i dont think the vulcan will go any further, i think all the money (the main bluk) that was going to her has gone and until they get there act sorted and be more positive about the situation no big company will out money forward.

Just think if you have ?1 million what would you put it towards, something thats unstable

The money they are asking per season is way to much (somthing like ?1 million) This could dry up the aviation history and small projects could end up drying up for the sake of the vulcan.

Yes we would all like to see it fly but it is a sensible option, have we wasted the money we have put into so far, id rather support somthing like the shuttleworth collection than tvoc personally

well i give up my saturdays for hangar 11 so thats a good start, but now i will have to fit a paid part time job which treatens hangar 11

All the talk of “the end of classic aircraft” et al was getting depressing, but it got me thinking…how many people make a career out of classic aircraft operations? More to the point, where do these jobs get advertised?

…And is anyone looking a young, motivated graduate in Aviation Technology that likes old aeroplanes and wants to see them in the sky?!

I hope its not the end of classic aviation im just doing my gcse’s and want to go to uni and get involved in it! 🙁 😮

i would personally like to see the 2 p-40s together and the gladiators, maybe a big mustang gathering or something like that.

The problem i have with flying legends is its 2 much of the same aircraft if thee was something new and unique and a different flying list i would go every year but most of us have seen the b-17 and catalina and dnt get me wrong i like to see them but we need more variety something new something that would really make me want to go

well partly to do with fund raising, the tvoc website have recently closed the forum unless you have donated (over the internet i believe – not sure) or are a club member, if they need moremoney why do this. i always thought the vulcan was the “Publics aircraft” (are something along those lines). If you need money why close one of your key media sources?

Right, im 16 and im taking my gcse’s. i have also been given the opertunity to take enginering at college and i have gained NVQ L1 and i am workig on level 2

i help out at hangar 11 and i would like to go into aircarft engineering, should i say on and do level 3 e.t.c or move onto aircraft engineering in particular? and where can i do this at a place thats local to where i live (west essex)?

This mite sound a silly question but could some sort of group be set up to put money into securing the site then opeing it up as a museum of some sort?

always slightly let down with end result – used to have the old 1/32 Hurricane & Spitfire side by side – looked OK from 10 feet away!

also made the old Revel 1/32 Beaufighter – all matt black. Knocked off the cupboard and, well, that was that.

Best ones I found were the range that Matchbox did, 1/72 were great (OK, naff colours) but I did the 1/32 Dauntless, Lysander and MK 24 Spitfire, again they all looked OK from 10 feet away!

I cheat and buy die-cast now, but my son is 8, we’ve done a few together, he plays with them when done…..we have a SU-27 in store to do on a rainy day.

Quite the same here, had a period of buliding kits and from 10 feet away they look ok, then we moved house and i decided to bin them all.
Now ive just bought a spit mk. 1 to get back into the swing of things
