Strictly speaking apart from a couple of exceptions none of the K & M models (FG1 & FGR2s) can be called “Spey Engined” because they all have had their engines removed and mountings cut out……
XT597 was probably our last chance of having an active (fast taxiing) K or M model unless Duxford do something with XV474 or we can get XT899 repatriated from Aviation Museum, Kbely, Czech Republic

Any ideas how much a Vulcan Control Column Top is worth?….. thinking of liquidating my Vulcan collection and this is a starter..
For the uninitiated (me), what is the time scale for changing two engines (assuming that has to happen)?
The RAF, I understand, could change an ECU in a single shift, maybe theres a Sooty out there who can confirm or rubbish this idea 😉
i know the XL426 group have a couple of spare engines. I don’t know if they are airworthy of useable.
think you’ll find they are ‘558’s old original Nos 1+2 engines she flew into Bruntingthorpe on in 1993

It’s had a lot of work done so far however after blending corrosion on the undercarridge not sure if they carried on. The engine situation is a problem after the recent asbestos scare in europe

As to an engine? attempts to source one are being explored… then we may taxy it but thats sometime away
