I don’t think there will be a schedule for helio flights. They have routes around and across London according to if they are single or multi engined types. Alan Mann Helicopters being based at Fairoaks will if going anywhere North head towards LHR. They are usually guided to the approach end of the landing runway and then cross between airliners. The clearence is called ‘special VFR’
If you have a airband radio it will be on 119.9 or 132.7.

Yes but the job of the judiciary is only to interpret the law as it stands, not make it up. If you feel it isn’t working you would have to change the law and only parliament can do that.

This has been the problem recently. The judges seem to think that the law is open to their interpretation and no one elses.
    Judges are not elected.
And of course now the ‘human rights’ laws can be used to overturn anything.
If the Law Lords do uphold the verdict the hijackers will be able to sue the authorities for unlawful inprisionment according to the press. So far the whole shambles has cost us taxpayers over £20M:mad:

I’m afraid the whole UK legal system seems to be going down the drain. Burglars and murderers have human rights but not their victims. Now hijacking is not a crime if the hijackers feel threatened. Al Qaeda will feel threatened by the US so they will head here. We already have some of their supporters here living on our taxes. If nothing more helpful comes up, try contacting the Brooklands Museum at Weybridge, Surrey. They have quite a collection surrounding ‘R Robert’ their Wellington. They made some new as well during its restoration..

I was havind my lunch break in my van near the end of RAF Manston’s runway. Listening to ATC talking to something with a crew of 2 ‘burning off fuel over the sea’. A crew bus full of RAF types arrived near the runway as the ATC confirmed ‘circuit clear and running in’. I got out to see a Buccaneer rushing straight across the fields towards me at about 500′., rocking the van as it passed over. It then went into a 5 minute display before landing. It was after the last RAF squadron had been stood down and this ‘brick’ was being delivered to the the Defence Fire School. It must have been one of the last RAF flights made by one. It stood for sometime as the gate guardian.

Did the Lanc flyover the Eyebrook Reservoir yesterday? It was supposed to fly onto Brands Hatch later and then to Herne Bay which would have taken it near my home but I didn’t see anything. Weather was heavy cloud. I only got a Sea King!

I still think she should have stayed in her red/yellow working colours. About half the scheme was red anyway. A nose art sized ‘Red Bull’ would have got the message across in a subtle and photogenic way.

In the June edition of PC Advisor there is a review of the Cannon EOS-1Ds. It has 11Mp resolution which they consider film quality.
It will be priced at £5,956 not including memory or.. lens! It will take Canon EF lenses.

I think this going to be the same as all electronic equipement eg computers, mobile phones etc. As soon as your decide and buy, a newer, better (and more expensive) model comes out. The SLR digitals at the moment are between £1500 and £3500 I expect some will be around £1000 by the end of the year. Just look at current PC prices.

Just to confuse things, Shoreham, Sussex calls itself ‘Airport’ It was for years an all grass field and now has three grass runways plus a hard main one. It dosn’t these days have scheduled flights.

When they announced the end of Concorde services the TV showed two BA Concordes parked up (at LHR?) which had not been upgraded after the accident. Presumably they will not be allowed to fly unless they are. Perhaps these are the victims as it costs real money to park anything at Heathrow. Still sad.
