Thanks! They were very good flights except for the delay on the outward journey. I really do like easyJet.
Interflug 62M, I am all for the UKs withdrawal from the EU, hence my support for UKIP.
It seems that the EU hates the national state-owned flag carriers.
And what exactly is the UKIP’s stance on state ownership of air carriers? 😀

The Tu-334 looks pretty cute :p Apparently Tupolev demonstrated it to some European carriers in Zurich early September 2004.

I know for a fact my company uses Eastern on occasions, and it’s not just for senior executives. If there’s a genuine business case for high fares then it’s unfortunate but unavoidable.

They do it on the BHX flights. you can fly GLA-BHX-EWR or fly BHX-GLA-EWR even though you can fly direct from both GLA and BHX to EWR
This is a legacy of the British European full service days, and was essentially offering passengers from GLA and EDI a connection at BHX. A codeshare would no longer be necessary as both GLA and EDI have services to EWR.
I assume by CO it is meant Continental.
In which case Flybe will serve as a connection service. FlyBe do not fly trans atlantic.
Although, funny enough behind the CO connections desk in newark I did spot the FlyBe logo under a “partner airlines” banner
But aren’t the codeshares a legacy of the days when Flybe (British European) was a full service airline? These days, as a low cost I would imagine Flybe wouldn’t want to incur the cost of passenger transfers etc unless it was an important source of business.
Great news for LPL!

Will they continue with the code share with CO on the LPL-GLA route to connect with GLA-EWR
I’d be surprised, considering CO fly to MAN (only 35 miles from LPL) and Flybe’s status as a lo-cost airline versus CO’s status as a full service carrier.

😀 NEW LIVERY 😀
Hmmm… that would be difficult. The Indian people are very proud of AI’s livery. When a new Landor designed livery was introduced in the late 80s/early 90s to replace the current livery, public annoyance was so great that the old livery was re-introduced.
