Didn’t MD and Boeing once start co-operating on a project?
From memory (patchy), I think they did a while ago
Nice pictures, the flyBe looks really good from that angle
I really like the tail – very modern and innovative – and the titling, but I do feel that the tail design somehow needs replicating either on the fuselage or engine cowlings to bring the livery together.
The manufacturer is partly correct: it was an abandoned joint venture 😀
Not a BAe concept, but the clue is in the tail.
DC 9 1/2 ? 😉
LOL 😀 Not as wrong as you might think!
Nope, sorry. It’s early 1980’s.
Jetstar are fast becoming the Ryanair of Australia it seems 🙂
…not the 757, but a concept of a similar era
Interesting rumours none the less; would love to see LAX start up. 🙂
Me too. BA operated the route in the early 90’s with a 763, but only for a year or so.
Sorry to read this softlad. I’m sure there will be new opportunities at LBA in the not too distant future.
The tail designs are good though the font is a bit bland.
why would a terrorist want to hyjack a Easyjet flight to say amsterdam, its stupid and a waste of time!
Bigjet
Why not? Terrorists hijacked internal US flights, which pre-9/11 might have been considered a stupid waste of time.
I flew EZY last year from STN-GLA and had no passport or driving licence (my driving licence was being updated from a paper version to a card version, and I had to send off my passport for ID purposes). I managed to get on by presenting my works’ pass (with photo) and 2 credit cards as proof of ID.
Another point – Could this also spell the end of MyTravel Lite?
Ops at LGW and MAN have already ceased so I doubt expansion at BHX is a priority for them. Excellent news about WW – I know they’ve cancelled a few routes recently but it’s clear some routes at EMA, MAN, CWL and MME are doing well. Expansion at LBA and BHX would surely make them one of the leading loco’s in the Midlands/Northern England and Wales?
