And the brochure describes it as ‘mild aircraft disturbance’. 😀
Is that 7 extra rows compared to a 235 seater 752?
They are certainly ‘stretched’ here’s one from NWA I
took with my wife’s camera in Seattle…
There’s a seating plan on their website. I think the stretched version is comparable to the DC8-60 series which seated about 250 if I remember correctly.
Also just remembered that AF and LH (Privatair) use A320/319/737 in all business class configuration on longhaul flights.
Monrovia?
I’m often in Birmingham at the weekend
Just checked the BAe Systems website:
Airbus UK
Chester Road, Broughton, Chester, CH4 0DR, United Kingdom
Tel: +44 (0) 1244 520444
They equip the A320 family wings there
OLT D-AOLT Saab 2000 at LCY on Sunday evening
I thought EWR-LAX was about a 4-5 hour flight and to SNN must be about 7 hours at least ?
Current Aer Lingus flying times are:
SNN-JFK – 7:20 hrs
JFK-SNN – 6:20 hrs
nice detailed report!
I think the Islandflug will be actually operating for Islandflug, they have an extensive charter programme this year all over Europe.
I also think Islandsflug are operating their own programme from BHX this summer. There was an article in AW a while ago saying they intended to.
Economy seating on 757s fall into 3 categories;
charter config (Monarch, First Choice etc 228-235seats)
scheduled config (BA, CO etc 160-180 seats)
shuttle config (BA used to run @8 757s with 195 seats)
Whilst the 757 is a great ac, imo it can be a real pain when boarding/disembarking as 200+ passengers have to use 1 aisle.
Or 280 on TCX’s 753s 🙂
FCA (as Air 2000) used the 752 for round the world flights for one tour operator in the mid-1990s, though I’m pretty sure they reconfigured the cabin!
Hawarden is near Queensferry. It’s on the outskirts of Chester and the BAe factory there (think it’s called BAe Broughton) manufactures many Airbus wings and other parts. The Beluga would have been going there.
http://www.bata.uk.com has details of seat pitches – interesting to see which airlines use 28 inch pitch (the legal minimum)
***WARNING*** Bad Scottish accent joke coming up
If that’s where you ‘getafe’ – where do you ‘get on’? 😀 😮
YOU WERE WARNED!!!! 😀
If we have to Getafe down there will BA provide parachutes? 😀
Most of the BA 319s seem to have Airshow now, at least in my experience
That does not exist here. I hope to see better things in the North American, and world, market.
I don’t know – when I was in the US a couple of weeks ago I saw a couple of JetBlue aircraft with varied colourschemes. I believe JetBlue is also installing PTVs on them. There is innovation, just not from the major carriers.
