That is more or less correct. Charlie Brown (Spit) and Clive Denney (Hurri)fired up at 16.30 and got airborne 5 mins later
I take it this was at White Waltham?
So its kicked off then.
We will remember them.
Glad all appears to be ok. If I had to divert I couldnt think of a nicer place than Waltham. Cracking clubhouse that does great tea and wads.
Hope all is not too serious especially after all the engine work done on her in the last year. No sign on the WW Webcam but that doesnt mean too much as its field of view is rather narrow.
IIRC the first airshow I ever went to was at White Waltham.
I’m sure I had one of those (or something similar) in the loft at one time.
Reillys place is a total goldmine I have done it in an hour before but on the other hand I have also spent a whole day there and not seen everything. As Melv says its a restoration shop so it isnt as squeaky clean or as organised as some museums but that only adds to the charm of the place. Cracking place with some really friendly people (even if I did meet the tiur guide by accident – literally – in the car park). I would allow half a day at least.
If you get the chance the you must go to Fantasy of Flight. Get there early and do all the tours. The first time I went I was in two minds, after I returned I was hooked. Its fantastic. You will need all day there.
Good luck and have fun.
The second one almost looks like it was taken in 1944.
Voightlander wasnt that a film starring Christopher Lambert??
Cracking photos Glen thanks for sharing.
When I was last at Trenton in 98 there were a number of F-5’s in store there. Is that still the case of have they moved?
I have no problem with the show in the BoB museum (thought it was excellent) however I do wish they could find a way of pulling up the screens afterwards to get them out of the way for photography. The lighting after the show is appalling and, like the lighting in the rest of the museum, needs to be put right.

Two words
Logans Run……pwhorrrrrrr
Merlin
Funniest damn thing I’ve seen in ages.
Setter, people dont go back to Australia. Would you voluntarily go back to Wormwood Scrubs 😀 😀 😀
In all seriousness, I’m sure he’s fine. Probably slipped down a crack in the pavement or something.
No merely a place to store breakfast (again)
I think we should stop now. 😀
Hmmmm gloves, useful things gloves………..
Met24 and I have an extremely cunning plan 😀
(see I remembered)
I have my Great Grandfathers medals on the wall (Campaign medals rather than gallantry) alongside two photographs of him. One before he left, one during the battle of the Somme. The pose is the same but the difference is amazing.
Nice shot Mr Brownie.
