The only other one I can think of with a blue nose is Jumpin Jacques so maybe her annual has been finished early.
Only the extreme front and spinner of her nose is Blue however.
It would be unlikely (but pleasantly surprising) if it was Miss Helen or Princess Liz though.
Very sad, I hope its not as bad as you say it is.
I did have visions of an upturned Maggie for a moment!!!!!!
Sounds like a superb airshow and I really wish them the best of luck.
I have to be at OW that weekend which is a shame.
I see the Patrons Pavillion is getting somewhat sporty nowadays
Nice to see things from a different perspective. 😀
Sorry for the delay chaps
I pulled the thread because it had served its purpose to inform about Miss Helen, it had then decended into speculation, whuich in itself is no bad thing however we need to be very careful about what we say with regard to Warbird accidents. Some people were getting spirited about things, so I pulled it before damage was done.
Sorry
It was TD248 and yes it did lose the canopy. He said over the radio that he would continue to Duxford.
The Airfield Follow Me crews then spent an hour searching the wrong end of the runway for the missing bits.
What a wondeful eening it appears to have been
There was an open air concert at Radley College in Oxfordshire that apparently had a Spitfire and Hurricane display with it. A possibility for the HAC Spit/ Hurri?

It really is a very nice living museum. Very friendsly folks. I believe the DC-3 is the higest time DC-3 (or possibly the oldest flying I forget) example in the world.
