Is he walking straight yet, looks painful if you ask me.
I wouldnt count your chickens just yet. It is a totally un scientific experiment. I can quite easily make the spine look the same shade as the wings.
IMHO They wouldnt paint it green without good reason.
I’m not getting into the historical accuracy arguement, but I reckon that you’re better off taking it up in private with the Shuttleworth team, I will be interested to see the outcome.
In the meantime by means of a rough and ready comparison see the attached picture. Its taken in differing light conditions and has been artificially produced but I hope it helps.
FWIW I prefer the green spine than the red one shown on the models in your picture. Not that that matters much.
Some more just for fun

Noooooooo!!
You’ve done it now
From my own point of view I have always been royally treated by the local Enthusiasts when I have ventured across the pond.
It was nice to repay the favour, if only in a small way.
Oh and Melvin, we have now all heard the Elephant joke!!
Has anyone actually contacted Old Warden to ask them why it is Green? There may be a very good reason.
“Steve do you want to sit in the Hurricane?”
“Fcuk yeah, you do understand American dont you?”
brych…
Welcome to the forum/madhouse. Cracking shots 😀
I do hope that Old Warden has you hooked.
Stormin shots mate, hope you had a good rest today.
Is it time to sign up to SVAS???
Yes!!!!!
The First evening display of the year at Old Warden was yet another superb display, despite the best efforts of some soggy ground. We saw the reappearance of an old friend in new clothes and a new formation duo.
A big thanks once again to all involved, roll on the D-Day show.
