Obvious one, the FAA museum at Yeovilton
Tricky one that, the film will be good news for museums, airshows etc (no matter how historicaly incorrect it is) it may also be good news for warbird operators, so do we?
Do you seriously think that this wont go the way of (the awful) Pearl Harbour and not be a mostly CGI affair?
That is a act to ask for the right attention for Britains history MOTF
No it isnt, anything less is an insult to those who gave their lives so that these people could make bad films about them (have I just made a circular arguement?)
The Sunday Telegraph’s qoute may have been either lazy or mischievous
Just a thought but they could have also got the thread from here (or Pprune or Wix etc etc) Maybe we could start a bogus rumour and see if one of them runs it 😀
Tom has isested that they used the right aircraft. Their is even talk that he might fly one of the Spits.
First point, very good. If true all credit to the guy. Second point I feel a bit nervous about unless he goes about it the correct way.
Have had fingers burt too mant times by Hollywood now, they dont get the benefit of the doubt anymore( especially after Memphis Belle’s final raid to Berlin and going around on the bomb run 3 times “to save civillians” )
Heres a thought, if it does get made in this vein, how about protesting outside your local Cinema at the Hollywoodisation of OUR history.
Oooooooooyesssssssss

DH88 still in the back of the workshop being fixed. Tutor may be out and about.
Tom Maloney retired last year with a superb display in his Strikemaster at Duxford.
Good news though, Andy Sephton is back this year after a year off due to health reasons. Is Rod dean back as well?
I seem to remember that Lindsay Wlaton was quite big in Potatoes.

You are kidding surely, Old Warden is the finest airshow venue in the country. Good displays with a display line that lends itself to topside shots, a very friendlt atmosphere.
You wouldnt catch me any where else, especially now Duxford is ruined with the new display location.
