Cracking news, I was a little concerned about the NF.11 going abroad as she is such a lovely aircraft.
Well done Mike Collett and co.
Why would he want to? He’s a businessman, if their is no money involved, he will not be interested
Maybe not, but I bet its a great Tax write off.
Ummm its half term, more change on getting the kiddies in methinks.

Am I missing something? Where’s the Liberator meant to go?
Hendon to replace the Valient thats going to Cosford
Shame really as its quite an impressive bit of kit.
Shame it doesn’t have a role yet though, too big to replace Puma, too small to replace Chinook. Supposed to be CSAR but not fitted for the role.
Despite that it was good in Bosnia so I am told.

Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. On yer bike down to sunny Somerset and visit your lost love 😉

What AV-8? According to those who know the Firefly was swapped for a Sea Harrier – different bird altogether. – Nermal
Those in the know are wrong then, it was swapped for an AV-8 that was in FAAM and is now in IWM north (for reasons best known to the IWM). The Sea Harrier that took the place of the AV8 was a bitsa made up by the AMS at Yeovilton, from at least two possibly three old airframes.

That particular book is next on my pile to read. To what part of my lamentable punctuation is one referring?

I feel your pain 🙁
Is it me?
I dont see the problem with a naval aircraft moving to a naval aircraft museum, I would have been a little peeved had she gone abroad however.
As for the AV-8 well its a British designed (and partially built) aircraft and it was a gift, a bit churlish to turn it down methinks. And in any case it’s not as if we claim its something that it isnt.
We really dont appreciate what we have sometimes.
Its it me??

This is the easiest one of man and machine in perfect harmony that I can lay my hands on.

I would have one of you in person but each time you walked past me you had your mouth open saying someting about Display Authorisation 😀
Have fun in NZ
Makes it cheaper when you only need a few
I feel the need to pop over the road to my Local tonight and define what “a few” is 😀
As a denizen of Oxfordshire you’ll obviously disagree, but in my opinion Old Speckled Hen has vastly improved since being transplanted to Suffolk.
As a long time Abingdon resident and taste tester (unpaid) for Morlands I have to agree.
The takeover of Morlands by Green King and move of the brewing to B St E has resulted ina vastly improved beer when compared to the crap produced by Ock Street in its final years. It all went down hill when the long standing Head Brewer retired.
Abbott does have an unfortunate effect on me though, it makes me talk gibberish and fall over after only a few pints 😀
Because the website hasn’t been updated?
It’ll be a pleasure
Some people get really attached to their headgear.
