This may sound silly but have you tried the Army Surplus shop along the Botley Road in Oxford?

If he hasnt got one, I’m sure he’ll know someone who has.

When did the Intrepid P-51 crash? The last time I saw her she was being crated for shipment to the USA.

I believe Dave Gilmour sold his collection to fund a charity, could be wrong though.

Oops forgot to add, my favourite moment has to be the Lightnings take off at the Last Lightning show. Or perhaps seeing two good chutes and waving legs after the Migs colided at Fairford, big relief that.

    Could I?

    I have absolutely no idea

    Would I?

Damn straight, I would have been invloved somehow, even if it was only cleaning the floor

But as Kev said (far better than I ever could), thanks to those brave men I probably will never have to find out.

Of course the other interesting scenario that went around was a swap between Dalton Barracks and Duxford. Based on it being better for Logistics corps to be closer to London (why?) and a working museum being away from the M11 pressure

    ROFLMAO:D 😀 😀 😀

Ahh the old RAF Abingdon rumour, it seems to run every 5 years or so, its a bit early this time.

So the RAF are downsizing everywhere and the rumour says they will re-open and old Airfield.

I very much doubt it, especially as they have major reconstuction plans at the airfield that will remove much of the hardstanding by the hangers and the new control tower.

But that said stranger things have happened
