According to the BBC, the pilot has died.

Tragic

Well I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I though the RAF element giving their forst displays of the year were excellent, particularly the Hawk who was messed around a bit by ATC with height clearances.

I finally got to see the Guvnor performing a P-47 display and wery good it was too (anyone know why he had to land early and go again).

As for the two Sukhois, well I was left speachless.

Cant wait for July.

Ok then

Lunch is a Pasty, two sausage rolls and a few token bits of fruit. With a big flask of hot water to make tea.

Camera will be the trusty D60 with the 100-400IS and a 28-80 with a 75-300 as backup. 2 512MB flash cards and a spare set of batteries.

Most important are my ear plugs, because even though I am at Dixford and she is a Abingdon, I just cant risk being able to hear her band playing 😀

Weather looks good, so bring it on.

Mrs Fence knows better than to intrude upon the graceful concerto of a Merlin. I dont think she knows how loud a Hunter is though.
