I’m not Anti Legends, where did I say I’m anti Legends?

Depends, I quite like the sound of some of the early Axial flow engines.

There is nothing quite a nice as sitting behind a 3350 (except perhaps a Merlin ;))

Anywhere but Legends. Will be nice to see, but no substiture for the real thing.; Roll on the FHC example 😉

I spent a silent moment by the War Memorial in my Village this morning.

I’ll be there. Polishing aircraft is great fun.

I have to agree about the Tornado shot, superb.

Did you use a diffuser over the flash when you used it?

Good luck one and all. I’ll try and be there but dont hold out too much hope.

Four Hurricanes in formation, Eleven Spitfires in a massed display

Thats why I went, not the average run of the mill airshow. But I can see your point Dan. However warbirds shows arent like Military shows, there are a lot less airframes to go around.

Now the line up for the October show will be interesting.

Just got back, up at 5.30 four hours driving money for diesel food etc. Only two displays because of the weather. It cant be helped, just one of those things. Had the weather gone to forecast it would have been a better display than yesterday.

    I still enjoyed myself.

A very big thanks to the pilots who displayed in the very poor conditions, the Chipmunk disappeared on his first circuit (DB I got the pilot wrong, any idea who its was anyone?).

A nice touch driving the veterans past the crowd, they were roundly applauded.

In 25 years of going to airshows I have onlyt been to two shows that have been completely weathered out, this was one of them. As I said, it cant be helped.

Damn, I knew I was going wrong somewhere with my pan-frame-focus-and shoot technique for 40 years!!!

As long as you realise that 😉

Methinks some people are taking their riches for granted.

I totally agree, however it would be nice to spice things up every once in a while.

You dont know what you’ve got till its gone!

And it takes talent patience, practise, dedication, perseverance and down right hard work to take a decent photo, where as anyone can dream up a quiz.
