AHL is teaching China about making this kind of helicopter. it is not some 50-50 project. when ever Chinese learn to make it. its prototype will fly. but if they not learn. than it will not fly.

The 24MU design was my favorite too Quantum FX. I would have no problems if they do go with the 26MU design as that is what other aviation companies around the world have done as well.

I don’t intent to down play their achievements but personally I think F-3 looks like F-22 with EOTS

a lot of them do really. F-3 is F-22 with EOTS. J-20 (me) is F-22/35 with canards. J-31 is F-35 with two engines. Only Su-57 is pretty original.

Good point on the STOVL fighter actually.
That is the one area regarding fighter jets where I think a collaborative venture might be beneficial to both sides…especially on the actual vehicle.
By its nature, the production runs would be small, so economy of scale with joint production would help.
Each country could then outfit it with their own avionics.

There has been announcements in Russia that a STOVL aircraft is being looked at, if I recall correctly.

^ ah okay that is good they haven’t made a choice.

nothing about Israel.. I love their other stuff….. but India srsly needs proven stuff and can’t risk being an experimental test bed customer.
that ELTA AESA radar isn’t widely adopted.

on the other hand, India has a ton of French gear, with more Rafales coming.
the RBE Aesa is on their Raffies
and France has a smaller one that can fit in the Texas’ tit. will give it out of the box ability to shoot Meteor and Micael missiles. no need to bother with Meteor integration tests like on the Israeli radar.
Thats what India wants.. Meteor!

Astra will need to be tested and integrated on either of them so that will take time no matter which way they choose..

R-77 and R-73? why bother integrating them when you have Meteor, Astra and Micael.

It would be beneficial for the Russian side to be able to purchase Chinese components or even complete designs in some areas (especially in light of relations with sanctions), in fact they already have.

They bought Chinese engines for Pr. 21980 assault boats, project 22460 coast guard patrol boats, as well as Pr. 21631 missile corvettes.

One small problem is they managed to break down in every single one of those ship types.

Thailand had similar engine problems and fire control problems for the ships they imported too.

hence China probably still has more to learn from Russia on hull and engine design for ships.

but China’s ship yards have more production capacity. so a collaboration there is good.

why in the oh-la-la did they go with Elta for the radar rather than go for an RBE derivate that France offered?
it makes much more sense and would allow an AESA Texas fly earlier!

There are some potential areas for cooperation in amphibious operations. Russia could produce a naval Ka-50 for shipboard use, configured to carry AShMs. China could build them Type 075 assault ships replacing the failed Mistral deal. Though the Chinese ship is twice the size, not sure the Russian Navy needs something that big. It seems the Russians had a favorable impression of the Type 05 amphibious assault vehicle as well.

actually China could ask Russia to buy their upcoming carrier designs..

China is stuck on 2nd generation aircraft carrier designs
Russia has moved on to 3rd gen aircraft carrier designs but they don’t have enough shipyards and money. that’s where china can come in. win win for both

IRC, all your posts in the Tejas section were strictly limited to.. Is it here yet? why is it late? All you’ve done in the Tejas section was make cheap shots at its schedule.

Like the others said.. J-20 is mostly harmless. but i noticed he seems to pick on people who are overly sensitive, for the LOLs

aww thanks to you and panzer fist. I agree, there are too many fan boys who have strong biases to certain countries and end up trolling the works of other countries :rolleyes:. can’t we just appreciate all jets :angel:

In the Russia China collaboration thread, deinonychus is simply having a hard time to accept any kind of positive Russian contribution.
