surprisingly good discussion on whether fighters need to go over a certain mach.
although I sense some one being a bit of a jelly belly over the j-20.

^ well first and foremost, there is no Japanese Air Force. but an air component of the Japanese Self Defense Force.

the nuance in this is that they’re not designed for offensive operations. Hence no bombers and a focus on only air defense and anti shipping. no ground attack in the earlier days.
Even their C-1 was intentionally designed to have limited range, which made it unable to even fly to Okinawa. hence the larger C-2.

^ oh no, you should have told Sukhoi about it as they forgot to add DSI to the Su-57.
While you’re at it, Lockheed and Boeing too since their 6th gen concepts are missing it! how could they forget to add it!?

Looks about J-10’s size, prbably designed around the same parts.

no wonder people have problems figuring out the J-20’s size.

That ucav is nowhere near the size of a J-10

here’s a J-10 next to people so you can gauge its size better

on the other hand, I am not surprised their is DSI on there! in China, DSI on everything!

I do not believe the Vietnamese (aka, mini-Chinese) ever received any MiG-23s. could be Soviet 23s stations in Cam Ranh though.
