Quint: “Front, bow. Back, stern. If ya don’t get it right, squirt, I throw your ass out the little round window on the side!”
Quint: “Cage goes in the water. You go in the water. Shark’s in the water. Our shark.”
Quint: “Farewell and adieu, to you fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu, you ladies of Spain.”
Just a thought but what makes you so sure it is a Bristol Beaufort?
In 1943 there were many, many RAF twin-engined aircraft types and if you’re relying on witnesses they may well be wrong…..however the Beaufort would be an unusual type for a witness to guess at…
…because it isn’t a Spitfire, Mosquito or Lancaster!

My all-time favourite Woody Allen quote from ‘Take the Money and Run’ (1969):
“After fifteen minutes I wanted to marry her…
…and after half an hour I completely gave up the idea of stealing her purse.”

A brilliant exchange between Charlie Sheen (‘Topper’ Harley) and the lovely Valeria Golino (Ramada Thompson) in ‘Hot Shots!’
Topper: Nice place.
Ramada: It’s okay. The only problem is I have a nosy landlady. Well, I guess this is goodnight.
Topper: I don’t want to go back.
Ramada: You don’t have to. I don’t want to be alone. And by the way…..I can go all night, like a lumberjack!
Topper: What about your landlady?
Ramada: You can do her too!

“We`ve come on holiday by mistake”
‘Withnail and I’ must be one of the all-time-great movies for quotes.
“Nonsense. This is a far superior drink to meths. The w@nkers don’t drink it because they can’t afford it.”
“…wintering with his mother in Eastbourne”
“I demand to have some booze!”
Not quite so sure about ‘Deliverance’…..good film though!

The indefatigable, unbeatable, shear genious of the Blues Brothers. John Candy RIP.
Correct. I could quote (badly) the late John Candy all night…..an irreplaceable talent.
“Hi, you want to hand me the mic…..thanks a lot.”
“It’s not too bad…..they can buff this out.”
“I don’t think I want to know a six-year-old who isn’t a dreamer, or a sillyheart. And I sure don’t want to know one who takes their student career seriously. I don’t have a college degree. I don’t even have a job. But I know a good kid when I see one. Because they’re all good kids, until dried-out, brain-dead skags like you drag them down and convince them they’re no good. You so much as scowl at my niece, or any other kid in this school, and I hear about it, and I’m coming looking for you…
…now take this quarter, go downtown, and have a RAT gnaw that thing off your face!
Good day to you, madam.”

I never found out the Beaufighter No. or it’s history either…
Isn’t this Beaufighter X7688 (3858M / G-DINT) that is now under restoration / in storage with Skysport Engineering?
