What’s the red case with the spring loaded lid just below and to the left of the throttles? I’ve asked an ex Vulcan pilot and crew chief, both didn’t know what it was :confused:

In my defence this trip was organised rather ad hoc at 2330hrs on a Saturday night! After a non-stop 11hr shift at NEAM. Scotty on the other hand spent most of the afternoon on the phone looking for a barber equipped with an NBC suit :rolleyes:
