yeah already been noticed unfortunately. bought it after reading front page article expecting more inside but no. i think the echo has possibly fell from favour regarding this. i’ve always regarded the chronicle as the better paper mind. i could’ve wrote a better article than that really.

Problem is that there are now virtually no symbols on the underside of the aircraft as it was painted over to prepare for a repaint.

According to Linda, Keith (Museum Manager) will be on BBC Radio Newcastle Drivetime. (sky may have it or internet streaming)

Yeah not much we can do until we can properly inspect the damage and an internal assesment of what damage has occured.

No worries Peter its a problem we’ve been discussing for a while and keep hitting the same brick wall – health and safety.

I stand corrected John, unfortunately new rules at NEAM means that only comittee and certain members can gain access to the office. I purchased a dvd off ebay with the same content and have been asked to go through them.

AMB, all 4 Olympus 201s are still in the aircraft. Thanks for that Steve I was looking through this morning but the sheer size of the APs on the disk actually crashed the computer at school. I remeber seeing this page from a while back but when you’ve got something like 1300 pages to search through its easy to forget.

I’ve made notes about all your suggestions concerning where to check for damage and suggestions for an easier touchdown for that nose wheel. I’ve taken note of your CofG notes and datum points, what the weight will be be on the nose wheel (coverted into tons and lbs because i find it easier to work with on an a/c of this age) and also the approx empty weight of her now. I will be in over the weekend at some point I hope and will go over these notes with other members of Team Vulcan.

Thanks again for all your help. I hope to be in touch before Tuesday with more news especially on those damage checks.
