i almost reversed a mini bus into a wall…no damage done, but i swore when i did it lol
also, the wing mirror is cracked somehow and its just been dropped off by the garage today, after 4 weeks of waiting and a repair price of £980+
yet some of the problems they were meant to fix…are still there :@
Since when have you been a driver lol :diablo:
I’ll make a note of it and try to pass it on when i’m in next

What better way to launch this thread than with some good news on the restoration front!
NEAM’s resident Westland Whirlwind HAR.9 XN258 has had a coat of primer applied in preparation for a full repaint. And I must say she’s looking rather good with just the primer, so I’m looking forward to seeing her when she’s finished.
Before
After

Thanks must go to all on Team Whirlwind and anyone else who has contributed!
Alex
Very interesting find! Must be only be a few of them left.
Our civil Gazelle in 2007
At NEAM we seem to be developing a Westland collection. Whirlwind, Wessex, 2 Gazelles… 🙂
They’re vicious them Tonkas 😀
I was on the Caledonian Canal and a barge on the opposite bank was a infra-red target for them. The owner was a staunch anti-war campaigner so the RAF had to say hello from time to time… or about twice a day :diablo:
Hurtling down Loch Lochy at what looks like 100ft then straight over you, nothing quite like it 😀
You may have already seen this but NEAM has just aquired a Wessex (full airframe). Don’t know exactly where from but judging by the pics it will need a fair amount of TLC 🙂
The only thing that made me go WOW was the price
She’s got to be stopped before more airframes are turned into ruddy bells!!! 😮 😡
The only link I can see between a Tonka and a bell is that they both make one hell of a racket :diablo:
How much are they after for her?
