Just a gentle point in the direction of NEAM for anyone in the vicinity.

NEAM’s Sci-Fi Event starts at 10am and runs until 5pm for anyone looking for a good day out to celebrate Father’s Day, we’ve got something for all the family.

Normal admission prices apply – £4 Adults, £2 Concessions

    FREE FOR VISITORS IN COSTUME

I love ‘Allo ‘Allo and It Ain’t Half Hot Mum (Mam – i’m a Geordie ). Fully intend to buy the episodes of IAHHM when I see them for a reasonable price (i.e. not £99.99) think £50 is more like it. Windsor Davis is just brilliant and Michael Bates is in a league of his own with his performances.

I hope I’m not in a minority here mind! :p

I’m 18 and no recent sitcom can really hold a candle to the Croft & Perry era. Blackadder is probably the only thing that comes close despite the fact its a smuttier comedy and isn’t really that new. The only recent one that is anywhere near is Still Game and even that is over 10years old.

I got every episode of Dad’s Army from HMV for £34.99. It’s back up to £99.99 but keep an eye on it round sale time etc.

Probably the best £35 spent in a long while 😀

Wholeheartedly agree with the majority of things said in this thread. For all the words bandied around in the name of Human Rights nowadays, is it not appropriate that should you be unfortunate enough to suffer an terminal illness, which condemns you to a painful and degrading demise, you should be allowed to choose the time, method and place to die.

Quick question thats puzzled me for a good long while. Below and to the left of the no.1 engine throttle, what is the red spring loaded casing which covers a black rubber button. Asked ex-Vulcan air and groundcrew who say it must have been an inservice mod after their time.

    Thanks
