    Great selection of photo’s

May i ask what runway they were using when you took those photo’s?

I personally like the Air Canada pictures. Really stand out πŸ™‚

    FANTASTIC NEWS πŸ˜€

Great news for Bristol airport and the west country. Will BRS now become a battle of Orange VS Blue

Any idea on how many aircraft they will base at BRS?

Haven;t been there for over 20 years now, but next month I’ll be going for a week to Gran Canaria. Does anybody has details on how the current situation to take proper pics is overthere? The same goes for Tenerife North, where I plan to go for 1 day

If you are prepared to visit Tenerife for the day, have you thought about Lanzarote instead? I dont know how they compare movements wise, but as far as photographic opportunities go Lanzarote is a must.

    What kind of a picture?

Just an external picture of an aircraft really.
The reason i ask is because when i purchase my new camera it’l come with an 18-55mm lens. I just wonder what shots are possible with it, untill i am able to get a 70-300mm for example

    Thanks

    Great shots Robert

The one that stands out for me is the easyJet close up shot. It’s great to see both engines reflected on this A319

    Keep up the good work

do you know where to find a text manual for the fmc

The manual should have come with the download. I bought mine from Amazon and the manual was on the CD in a PDF format.

Have a look on the PMDG home page, i’m sure you’l be able to download them.

I’d recommend any of the PMDG series. Their website is

    http://www.precisionmanuals.com

Take a look and see what you think. They have add on’s such as the B737-600/700, B737-800/900 and the B747-400

It all really depends on what sort of add on you really want. Afterall there are plenty out there to choose from

I’ve got the PMDG 737-800/900 and at first (if new to complex simulators) it can seem very daunting with the autopilot and FMC.

My advice would be to pay a visit to the PMDG website and visit their support forums. There are some great guys on there that would be more than happy to help you and assist you in anyway. Problem is, that the FMC and autopilot functions are very complex systems indeed. Don’t expect to master them overnight, but just keep practicing, reading up etc. There are some fantastic guides on the internet such as

    http://www.simradar.com/File/2394/PMDG_737NG_Advanced_Operations_Manual.html

so just read up, practice and enjoy the experience. It took me a while to master them, but now I’m confident using the FMC I am loving it.

    Good Luck

I booked myself another 5 return flights for between now and Oct. I’m not 100% sure I’ll travel on ALL 5 return flights but then again it is only a matter of a few pence down the drain.
My main concern was to book a few flights so now I can be picky when I go – I.e when the weather is good πŸ˜€

Shame really – Sale’s all over now πŸ™

You can remove the online check-in fee. But at least you’re almost guarantee some decent seats now.

Well you learn something new every day!

I thought Ryanair would be cheaky and either make you pay for online check in or charge for checking in bags. But as you said at least we’l be first to board and get some decent seats πŸ™‚

Me and a mate have just booked our flights also.
Bristol – Dublin for a days spotting and photography and I paid just a mere Β£8.04 for the both of us. Very strange though, no debit card fee (paid switch) yet an online check in fee. Still not complaining πŸ˜€

I’m sure with Ryanair’s latest promotion there will be lots of extra spotting at DUB and trip reports coming this way πŸ™‚

    Hi Paul

Many thanks for your response. My main concern is the softness of the images. I have visited the Fuji website and it appears other users have the same problem.

I am trying to balance out whether it is worth upgrading to a DSLR for what I want. I am after better quality, sharper images. At the moment I am trying to work out whether this is my skill or the camera that needs to be improved.

If you get a chance, please feel free to check out my images on myaviation.net. These have all been taken with the S9500

    Many Thanks in advance
