Dan – The Man: My Avenger is a Grumman TBM-3E VH-TBM s/n 91110 named “Georgia Peach” currently marked as an Avenger flown off the USS Essex in 1945 by VT-83. I have been in contact with the gunner off the original “Georgia Peach”…very eciting actually If you send me an email, I’ll send you photos direct. My B-25 was marked as an aircraft from No. 2 Sqn, RAAF, KO-P. . Also own an 0-2 and 0-1. Oscar Duck.

As a warbird owner/pilot I’m always keen to understand what has happened. It may save my aircraft/life. It is not about being ‘goulish’…

Tks Dan. I’ve now got Bill’s complete uniform with DFC etc which I have preserved for the acft etc. She’s in more pieces than that photo and starting to go back together slowly. Frightfully expensive you know…

By the way, have you ever drawn an Avenger? I own one.

Dan, you’re a champion. You’ll be pleased to know that RM-797 EB-E will fly painted in her 1944 colours. It is a four kill veteran. The Duck

Say, who did those great profiles. I’m the owner of Spitfire Mk XIVe RM-797 EB-E as shown in my post under another section here. I would dearly love to have her drawn like that. Any ideas please. 😮
