I would like to clarify something:
However after more than three years of this version of news thread and 350 pages? and if one news was republished ? is that the end of the world?!

Does anyone remember all the news published here? Or it could not be forgiven if it belonged to the sacred dog I mean F-35.

    Regarding.

You got no need to clarify thing Tango. I believe most of us here knows it’s just a slip. With the amount of News that you have posted over the years..well nobody’s perfect.

Hope you will resume putting the news..nobody else can take up the job as you do.

An even more flawed approach. Let’s post old news, then other old news to refute the first old news and that makes the thread just about news…

Well that’s the idea of this thread that already been around for so many years. It’s only ‘just about news’ thread. There are many other threads in this forum to talk and debate oppinion. However most of people that came to this thread is only looking for news.

This not flawed approach if it can make this thread only for News..

That is a flawed approach. All it takes is the person posting to actually read the article and note it was republished from old material, it isn’t hard…

No is not, as long as the rebute come with it’s source. Bottom line is, if you don’t agree with one news, and put other source that contradict that news, but not your oppinion.

That way this thread can be what it should be..News Only Thread.

Why is this hard for people to understand, the new story was over two years old and simply republished by National Interest. The same standard applies to any random person posting a story about Rafale or Eurofighter or Su-57 that was two years old but some random website decided to publish it again.

Then put rebuttal from other sources to contradict the news. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Then feel free to keep posting “absurd” post and even fewer people will visit this forum………..:stupid:

Then it’s your choice, you don’t want to come to this thread, well many others still want to come to see the thread. Look my point is, this thread is only for news. Whether you are going to believe it or not..it’s your choice.

This already happen from time to time..somebody post something in this thread, and other that does not like the news, shoot the massenger.

There are other threads where you can debate the news or opinion. However this thread is only for news, and people like Tango already invested their own time to put the news on this thread.

Don’t like the news, and put rebuttal from other sources to counter that particular news. But don’t shoot the massenger.

Getting old having “debunked” old stories that had no merit in the first place. Which, is not to say we don’t appreciate Tango’s links. Just in this case we expected more of him……….

Isn’t this already being discussed long time ago, that this thread from beginning is only for news only. So if somebody does not like the news, then don’t read it and don’t shoot the messenger.

Just like Eagle says..the gradual development from Block 1 to 3 is already planned from beginning of the project. However what is not in detail now is how big the difference between Block 1 to following Blocks.

Independent commission has been put in Indonesia to assess the project with one of the topics that information on the difference between Block 1 and following Blocks will be quite substantial, that Block 1 can’t be upgraded later on to following Blocks.
For that, the commission give recommendation that participation to the initial batch (I presumed Block 1) will be limited on 1 SQ (16 fighters) only.

Again, I only read comment from Indonesian media, thus not have detail on how KAI plan on doing development stages. One thing so far, Indonesian participation as Junior Partner still on, but they are in negotiation on stages on development participation..which from what I heard related on development progression between various Blocks.

Initial agreement is for DI involved with KAI on Block 1 development..seems now Indonesian wants to negotiate also on how to progress on following Blocks.

Possibly. A lot of the KF-X will be made of good old aluminium alloy, however. It reduces technical risk and also manufacturing costs. (The trade-off being the KF-X having a higher empty weight than contemporary standards may dictate)

I read from some source in DI, that stated KAI lead design team already plan that the Block 1 and Block 2 difference will be quite significant. Not only IWB but also the amount of composite materials in air frame..This related on level of LO difference from Block 1 to Block 2. In such Block 1 still consider gen 4.5+ and Block 2 will be genuine gen 5.

can you confirm this from Korean sources ?

From ROK TV. The first fuselage component, which indicates KFX already entering prototype production stage.
The video shown KFX with internal bays of 4 of AIM 120 class. Don’t understand Korean, this not sure if the internal bays now still on batch 2 as previously planned.
