If things kick off in the Falklands they may be after the Vulcan!.

I think that it is just wonderful that there are so many Spitfires scattered all over the place.IMO there cannot be enough Spitfires, with the new Mk1’s and others in restoration the future looks healthy for RJM’s beauty. The more Spitfires there are mean that there will be more support available such as consumable spares and new build parts. I see no reason, regulations apart, why some should not still be in the air in the next century.

Just had a look at your website, you have some good things going on there and the workmanship looks to be top quality.

That quote is well known to be mis-attributed. It originates from some Fox News panel. In reality, Patton and Leclerc (under Patton’s command) had a friendly relationship.
Please check your sources before you attribute quotes to prominent historical figures!
Could you quote yours. I have been led to believe that Pattons early poor opinion of French forces came from his early experiences in North Africa.Patton had considerable knowledge of the French Forces, having been taught sword fighting there prior to WW1 and was trained in tank combat at the French Armour School in Saumur in 1917. He certainly had nothing to complain about the performance of Leclerc’s 2nd Armoured Division in 1944 during the push to take Paris. I can highly reccommend the Saumur museum to anyone with an interest in tank warfare.
Gen George Patton “I would rather a German division in front of me than a French one behind”.
