Indeed not what we expected, quite a good piece.
You can catch it again at the following link, the bit we are interested in starts about 6 minutes 20 seconds into the programme.

Used properly they are probably a lot of fun.
Unfortunately by their very design they are a real noise annoyance to the majority and when driven by selfish idiots they are a positive danger to other water users.
Sadly 99% of the owners round our way are in this category 😡

At our local bathing beach there is a line of yellow buoys 400yds out, running parallel to the shoreline. These give warning of the speed limit of 8 knots inside these markers, they might just a well not be there when the “Romford Navy” takes to the water.
The only pleasure I derive as I sit in my beach hut trying to enjoy my shattered peace and tranquility is when one of these goons falls off ! :diablo:

I still miss Walter Gabriel and his perpetual but folorn quest to ‘romance’ Mrs Perkins.

Thanks John, glad you recognise a cool head when you see one. 😀
    I don’t ‘have a problem’ with Houston….but I doub’t they have my number.

Check out this website the next time they go up.
Having seen the ISS and the Shuttle flying overhead side by side in 2002 (about the width of your thunb apart) I can guarentee it is quite breath taking.

Further to my above I don’t think a polarising filter quite the answer here, the suggestion of using a towel or a coat would be a much better idea 😀

    Spooky 😮
A pal of mine has just passed on one of those e mails that do the rounds every now and again, this one is titled “how not to photograph your cat”.

A nice photo of one of those hairless siamese cat type things, with an unfortunate reflection of the trouserless cameraman in the window glass 😀

I’ll errr…try and make it decent and put it up (as it where).

North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb, said: “This needs to be regarded as an opportunity. There is a threat to the local economy with the estimated loss of £20m worth of spending power, but it is an area of land with considerable potential for development and housing. It is important for progress to be made now.”

    “development and housing”
They are the keywords. Another opportunity for Prescott and Co to label this a “brownfield site” i.e. build what you like and the DOE will rubber stamp it with absolutely no regard for the existing local communities and infrastructure.
I see a lot of very expensive houses on Spitfire Close and Hurricane Avenue on the horizon.
