Ah the most modest of “great men”. The Green is not exclusive Geoff !
Hope to make it next year.
Here’s mine, taken last weekend, ‘and twighlight fall’s once more on my waterfront home’.
Phil
Here his website, http://www.publandlordlive.com/main.html
His act is completely non PC, a sort of Alf Garnett without the racism, read the tour reviews and you will get the idea, 😀
In real life I believe he took (or studied towards) a degree in miltary history so he should know his stuff.
Happy B Day matey boy, greetings from the Motherland. A certain Mustang whizzes over my place occasionally on a Sunday afternoon during the “season”, so I know how these unexpected flyovers can really make your day !! 🙂
All the best.
Phil.
Maybe its time the BAPC stepped in here to take up the challenge?
No disrepect MJR but….
Pass me the needle and thread, me sides have just fallen open :diablo:
plinth
Great idea. It would be the ideal place for trading insults :dev2:
😎 Who knows 😎 perhaps I’m his stunt double :diablo:
😀 😀 😀 at Whalebone
What’s that all about ? an encouragement for everyone elso to join in and have good old laugh at the thought of an old git with a mullett :p
Oh well I admit it, I waited for years and years for it to come back into fashion, finally gave up and had it all off ‘for chaaaarity mate’ in July 2000. Got £125 each for the local breast scanner appeal and RAF Benevolent Fund.
Stick with a No: 1 and a half now, much better in the morning and I look well ‘ard. I am now mistaken for someone called Minty whoever he is.
Hey steady on there you Spitfire polisher with a clever new job…. besides to old mullet went four years ago 😮
Many years ago though I did used to get mistaken for Richard Beckinsale ocassionally.
I am considerably more worn these days and he has been in his box for many years, we are probably dead ringers by now ! 😀
Careful old chap, that’s your 1,111’th post. A very unlucky “quadruple Nelson”, put another one up quick..you are liable to break the forum if you leave it like that for too long :diablo:
Press Shift + Prt Scr (i.e. both at the same time), then open Word and press Ctrl + V (i.e. both at the same time.. That produces a screen dump of whatever was on the screen when you pressed Shift + Prt Scr.
It’s almost a cathartic moment…I have wondered for years what that actually did 😀
hmm, yes these pictures are quite known in our world. Well, it’s normal I suppose, be lucky that you get to see them. Lots of worse stuff happens at sea. Those containers really aren’t that stuck to the ship… Lots of those get lost. And in the future, many more will get lost. Normally, with 6 containers high, you only need a 6 beaufort wind to lose them. Nowadays they are designing 10,000-container vessels, storing them 7 or 9 high. You can imagine how many that ship will lose 😀 And it won’t be my fault!
Even though I posted the originals in fun I have to agree with you. Stay safe my friend……….wherever the seas may take you.
Last night was the real clear and frosty night of the winter -4C.
Weather station snapshot.
I have yet to mount the outside temperature sensor ‘outside’ so it shows the conditions in the loft at the moment  but the old mercury max/min thermometer on the garden wall shows 5 dergrees C, that’s 41F in English money. It’s now clear after early mist, dry with a 10/10ths solid overcast at I would guess 4 to 5 thousand feet.
I am just off to see if the weather looks any better from the pub 😀
Good photos Peter.
Thanks for posting them.
I second that without hesitation.
So what happened to that particular airframe, was it eventually completed and flew with the others ?
Try here, Mr Botwood appears to be oracle, drop him a line.
