I think they floated it up the Cam at the last high tide :diablo: :diablo: :diablo:

    only at Duxford :dev2:

Surely you’d sussed that IWM really stands for “Inland Watercraft Museum”! Isn’t it an IWM policy to bring boats inland away from their natural element and place rare valuable Aircraft at more salt laden coastal environments like Meteor NF11 WD686 rotting at the Muckleburgh Collection on the Norfolk coast and not tucked up in the dry No.4 hangar that it used to reside in? As you say only at DX 😉

I’ve been on this quest myself and drawn a blank. LAS advertise the bits but boy you really don’t want to know their prices! I’ve tried HM Sales at Stock and some of the other surplus dealers like Anchor Supplies but no-one seems to have the bits, or they just don’t know what to look for. UK Surplus (MOD disposal Agency) probably have pallet loads of them at Stafford, judging by the way everything is going out of service, but then again we both know how half this stuff just gets slung in the skip when a Squadron gets the axe! Good luck and if you find a load, buy them up and remember me! 🙂

Great event and thanks for the nice pics PerfectPic Co. You can almost see the big smile on the face of Alex in that spit! 🙂

As I said before, it’s actually Karel Bos in the air-to-air shots with John Romain in the front seat. There were no air-to-airs done with Alex, an unfortunate missed opportunity.

That’s funny, the guy in the back seat of IAC161 looks remarkably like Karel Bos, owner of HFL and not very like Alex Henshaw at all. Maybe my eyes deceived me yesterday.
