My recommendation is check out the north shore of the city. You can start from Fisherman’s Wharf and take the “scenic drive” to Marina Green and Palace of Fine Arts, see the Golden Gate bridge and go through the Presideo to the Sea Cliff neighbourhood. Then walk along the cliff trail of Lincoln Park to the Legion of Honor museum and back. If you have time the museum itself is well worth a visit.
I’ve been everywhere in the world, and this little sight seeing trip remains my favorite.

Remember back when the F-117 did their test flights, the pilots slept during the day did all their flying at night. They referred to themselves as vampires.
What if China bought the Harrier in 1979?
What if there was no export ban on China in 1989 and China became buddies with French aviation industry?
What if Iran bought F-15s instead of F-14s?
What if France replaced the Mirage IV with something like a big twin engine Mirage F-1?
Seriously, why are we having a “my secret fantasy fighter is better than your secret fantasy fighter” argument?
AW&ST’s latest write-up on J-20:
http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/
…the comments section is now mentioning a sentiment that has been doing the rounds in other fora, namely that the J-20 is the losing contender for the PAK-FA and was exported to China!
How could that be since the J-20 is made from salvaged F-117 parts?
So is there a second prototype or not?
They call me “Fat”
They call me “Sexy”
They call me “Eagle”
They call me “Dragon”
That’s not my name

______________
I think it should be called J-20 Tigershark, just for the lulz.

Perhaps one is a strike variant. Or maybe one is the original demonstrator and the other is the new evolved prototype.
I’m not russian but I’m not a gullible fanboy which falls for every round of PR put forth by the People’s Republic of China, specially when most of their industrial base and “R&D” revolves around copying others and the few indigenous works like the WS-10 engine has quality issues.
Okay, how do you say sour grapes in Hindi. 😉
How do you say sour grapes in Russian?
an interestingly same part:diablo:
Do you realize I made that J-20 image by modifying Paralay’s drawing? It shows what the canards might look like if it had forward sweep on the trailing edge. I did not have the Rafael in mind when I drew that.
I find it hilarous you used my fake picture to prove the J-20 is influenced by another aircraft. I also notice you’ve posted this on another website as well. Maybe some day it will be traced back here where this silly rumour started. :diablo:
It’s becomming increasingly obvious this aircraft has already flown before. They painted it for this high publicity event. This is no more a first flight than the Olympic Games opening ceremony was unrehearsed.
Ok, I see what you mean. I thought you were refering to the canard trailing edge and you wouldn’t have been the first person to think that should have been swept forward rather than aft. The ventral fins definitely have a negative TE sweep though, you’re right.
I wondered why they didn’t go that way as well. Here’s an impression using Paralay’s drawing. Looks rather like the SAAB proposal.
