I really cant imagine it would be a total cut. I bet there will be a few sell out shows they will attend or even a few formation ” air test ” flypasts. Dont forget that we had the same uproar only a month back with the Reds.

Some good footage there.. Did anyone use to watch Meteor Men on tv?. Those 2 American blokes who travelled all over the world looking for lumps of space rock and then selling some of them for squillions 😮 ..

Yep its one of the bigger Spits. The WAAF screamed n almost crapped herself when the flames shot out as they were far bigger, Almost as far back as the cockpit 😮 . I use to do spraying of the paint work on an eve so i would have all the big boys toys to myself. The Matchless is a 1958 600cc G11cs. Ive had it near 25 years now. I never did get to race down the runway in a Top Gun styley against a Spitfire 😀

Join the RAF and get a job there for 4 years like i did 😉 . Best years of my life and soooo regret leaving 🙁 . Got zillions of pictures and memorys though from having the whole hanger to myself on an evening time becouse i had special access to the hanger keys. Loads of my mates popped over to see me and i would sign them on camp and give them a tour of the whole unit including any visiting aircraft like F15s etc but hours would be spent in the BBMF hanger 😀 ..

Thats a younger more hairy on top me in PA474s hatch

Well if you were really unlucky like a friend of mine recently. Her car went into a garage to have a minor scrape on the bumper done, A 3 day job at the most but whilst it was there they drove it into a wall and knacked the bumper, So whilst it was still there waiting for a new bumber the battery died and knacked up the electrics so the car is now dead. After 15 weeks they are still trying to wriggle out paying for the battery/electrics issue 😮

If you watch the tail rotor as the Cobra starts to bank right after the initial climb it seems to stutter but then pick up speed again.. So who`s was the Cobra as it didnt look like a Korean pilot?

The Hawk/Goshawk looks really cool in that get up, I love it… When you think that the Blue Angels also have a Hercules support aircraft, Add all the crews and time that go into looking after and flying that as well as the Aerobatic team .

Ive had the great pleasure of sitting down with him in his home as he signed my prints of my drawing of the DH108 Swallow as i drank a glass of wine that he thrust into my hand. Beside crashing his Wildcat/Martlet upside down in the sea in front of Winston Churchil and many other adventures.

One of the lesser known facts about him is that before the war he use to ride motorcycles in a circus “on the wall of death”. There was a natty tatty old lion (a real one) that would sit in the side car and go round it as well. I found this out on asking him about the name on the front of his house which was circus related but im not going to mention it for obvious reasons.

A cracking freindly and warm gent who talks as you would expect a pilot to talk from that era. A true pleasure to have met him and one of my high`s in my life.

My drawing entitled “”Britain`s First””. Limited edition run

A Facebook friend (Matt Holmes) snapped these recently. Im sure he wont mind me sharing these becouse they are cracking shots.. He lives up that way and has a radar/call signs thing downloaded onto his pc and can watch the progress of the Big B as it comes n goes. He can also plan where to be for its approach 😀
