So reading between the lines. It seems as though the old warhorse is gona be flogged until she dies a death. After all she only really earns her keep whilst airworthy, afterwards it seems she is going to be a drain.. When all is said n done and when her heart winds down for the last time shes going put out to pasture on a windy wet old airfield somewhere(?) in England whilst everyone pontificates in legal matters as to where she will live and what to do with her. Meanwhile she will gently corrode as all the good work thats kept her alive slowly withers away like an old soldier!!.
its a beautiful German made thing from the 1960`s. (Diax = Zies when spoken) everything is so smooth when adjusting.. the 3 windows are for different lenses. wide, tele and normal. i stuff it im my pocket when im off visiting somewhere special. They hold their money well also
mines not quite as old as yours but i do bang off a couple of good ole b/w 35mm now n then. it makes a lovely sound when i press the shutter button. its a sound you can feel if you know what i mean 😀

Crikey it looked like firebomber at the end of a drop just after take off with all that spray still coming off 😮
I take it people mean Avro Vulcan XH558 and not XH588 ? As there never was an XH588.
AHA WELL DONE, YOU SPOTTED MY DELIBERATE MISTAKE!!!!! 😮 (ahem bugge r) but everyone knew what i meant hahaha.. A Victor carried that code
indeed i tip my hat to the guys n girls that keep the old girl up where she belongs. Whoever does the marketing is a wizard to be able to produce something from nothing always “just” in the nick of time..
Its true that theres no evidence that that funds would go elsewhere for other needy projects.. XH588 has made herself a place in the history books more so outside of the RAF life than when within.
..
OOOOOOOOKKKKAAAYYYY!!!. well this aircraft is designed for rough terrain take off and landings but this is pushing it abit. the nose gear is positioned in such a way that it does not throw up debris into the intakes and as you can see they stay clear but as for the rear part of the aircraft!!!!!!!!. all manner of things could have been slammed n jammed into a place inconvenient for normal flight..
as can also be seen, nearly the full length of the runway was used due to the slush slowing takeoff speed.. was this not a reason behind the infamous Munich crash??
..
Im sorry to say i normally get bored by a series of airliner shots but you have a cracking selection here 😉
at least its got a leg to stand on and seems quite stable unlike the American entry, which im quite unsure about
