“IN” meaning it may happen and they be sitting around all day with nothing happening.. “AT” meaning theres a high probability of what your expecting to happen will happen with great immediacy.
Air Sea Rescue helicopter crews wait around “in” readiness waiting for the call to standby and be “at” readiness in case a major event that is happening may require them to be there. they may not always scramble but the crew and aircraft would be made ready.
in some events the call obviously leads to a scramble straight away.
there was lots of machine gun fire last night as WW3 kicked off in Shropshire.

did you bother taking a photo of the car in shot 2 or was that the only reason you were hanging around?, you have got no interest in cars or aviation at all i bet ha ha.
i love it when people put old aero engines in cars, wonder what mpg it does?
morris lubricants “”hard surface conditioner””. keeps a great finish on the tyres and the best off all it lasts for ages and keeps dust and dirt from sticking. i use it on restorations on bikes, cars and my own vehicles. it tarts up most plastics and rubbers. it comes in an aersol tin and is readily available
so life like and accurate!!, i reckon the butler did it
The steam engine one is fantastic and full of power.the Butterfly head on shot is great also coz they can be a sod to get close enough to to get a Macro shot

basically the pilot fluffed it up. trying to perform something thats designed to be done at lower altitudes. thats why most helicopters dont fly high and generally have unpressurised cockpits.
those guys near the first impact were realy lucky to be alive and thankfully the undercart on the Apache is especially tough and able to absorb massive vertical impacts, with the snow and ice helping to slow the Apache also.
i dare say if that had happended on a hard surface the outcome for the crew would have been vastly different
that one reason why a good old fashioned fisty cuffs war is reqd now n then. its probably more cost effective to shoot and drop weapons at things than to dispose of them in a none violent way when the shelf life is up
