Assuming you are close to Lymington and have not been before, you should not miss the opportunity of visiting the I.o.W. by ferry from Lymington. I always feel in a different country when visiting there.
thats a good one to add to the list.. i believe theres an old castle to visit that right out on an island also. so that may be another?
is there a ferry that runs across the estuary to save driving around to the dockland area from the Lymington side does anyone know?.

If (!) you get a nice day, you can do worse than a visit to Lepe Beach.
It isn’t a beach in the usual sense, in that you can park your car on it, and enjoy the views of the Isle of Wight and ships going to / from Southampton, and it is only a short walk to some ruins of where the mulberry harbours were built for D-Day if you want a military fix.
A little further round the coast is also Calshot – not so much to see their, but there is the obvious aviationlink with the flying boats.
.
sounds good, will look into that part thanks

we had a look at that one on the web earlier but the campsite website doesn`t realy sell itself to being a campsite to get away from it all. bit to busy and orginised in keeping everyone onsite within the complex.
thanks for the suggestion though

ive met Bob a couple of times in the past. how tragic and what a great shame as they lost an instructor a few years ago when a Cessna crashed into the Berwyn mountains with the loss of i think all 4 on board.
Shouldn’t that be Taffyban?
